In Kathy's ward, her phone suddenly buzzed, its sound piercing the quietness. Hastily, she reached for it and saw that it was a message from Dominic inquiring about her well-being. In response, Kathy sent a concise reply: [I'm fine, thank you.]

Upon receiving Kathy's message, Dominic shook his head once with a charming smile in his office. He felt that Kathy would've said that even though she was still in pain or hurt.

While eating the food that Dominic bought for her, Kathy contemplated how best to express her gratitude. Should she repay him, treat him to a meal, or buy a gift? After careful deliberation, she resolved to invite Dominic to a meal after their workday the following day.
