When her mind was loading with all her past thoughts, Rosy's hand touched her shoulder and called her to return to her current mind.

"Layla,"

"Huh?" She abruptly turned and glanced at her mother, "Y-Yes, Mom."

"What happened? You did not eat," Rosy slowly whispered, not disturbing others' meals.

Layla remembered they were already at the dinner table.

She noticed her untouched food and returned her sight to her mother, "Sorry, Mom. I was just thinking something."

Rosy sighed with a small smile, "Alright, but now first finish your meal. Don't forget we had gusset tonight."

"Yes, Mom," Layla nodded with an awkward smile as the gusset was Martin, just sitting in front of her behind the table. She did not want to look at him, so her eyes never went in his direction.
