The Wedding

It was just a few days ago Amy had been thinking about the freedom ahead of her and the joy of making her own decisions. She ought to have felt happy on this day, her wedding day, but she felt sad. She was not even angry at her parents and neither was she nervous. She just felt sad for herself. This didn't feel right to her. She didn't even get the opportunity to even choose the song she'd walk down the aisle with.

When she had told her mother she wanted 'Perfect' played when she walked down the aisle, her mom had said "Darling, I don't even know the song. How much more the guests. And you know a lot old respectable personalities would be present." And just like that her choice had been brushed off.

Who cared about those guests. She didn't even know them. She sighed and wiped the tears that had fallen. She was glad her make up hadn't been done yet. She had asked the bridal stylists to excuse her the moment they arrived because she was still in her morning robe.
