ORBIS I KNOW I can't avoid him forever. I know our paths will cross again but I didn't expect it will happen sooner. He's requesting me. That's strange. What could he possibly want from me? RAVEN I WAS AWAKENED by something warm touching my skin. "We're here, Ysobella." I quickly straightened in my seat when I heard Alpha Lucien's voice. Heat crawled on my face when I realized I was leaning on his shoulder the whole ride. "Pardon me for falling asleep, Alpha Lucien." I played with my fingers because of embarrassment. THE MORTAL REALM I'VE HEARD ABOUT the Mortal Realm but I've never been there before. The Mortal Realm is a world where only normal beings exist. No unnatural beings such as werewolves, vampires, or hybrids. It is also known to the people in Aldemore that the people in the Mortal Realm are afraid of unnatural beings, they considered them beastly and dangerous. But Ayla did mention before that not all people in the Mortal Realm are afraid of unnatural beings. Some of them are open-minded, but it still doesn't guarantee the safety of unnatural beings. SCENT THE MANSION LOOKS more sophisticated inside. From the chandeliers, elegant designs, and marble floors. Nereza let go of my hand to find Alpha Lucien and Markus instructed me to wait on the balcony. The night is beautiful and the sky is covered with dazzling stars. THE NEW ALPHA SLOW ROMANTIC MUSIC surrounds the whole place. Every couple is dancing and some are chatting while drinking champagne. Men tried to ask me to dance but I humbly refused. I WAS SO drowned in my emotions and I didn't notice that our faces were only an inch away from each other. His warm breath fanned my face. I know that with one move, our lips will touch.
