Kurat had come to pick me up right on time , his mother absolutely adores him . You can see he loves his mother , but I would never say that to him . We are making our way back to our rooms when Kurats eyes glaze over and he mutters under his breath “ Shit , I need to go see Ratnik . Will you be ok from here ?” he says, looking concerned .

I just smiled at him, “ Of course I will .” He just leans in and kisses my cheek . “ Ok , i'll come get you for dinner .” I just nod as he takes off towards the training grounds . I was so wrapped up thinking about the information the Queen had told me about her suspicion of what I actually am , I didn't notice Shiva standing at the foot of the stairs .

I almost walked into her “ Oh sorry.” I said and tried to walk around her . Her hand shoots out and grabs my arm , looking down at her hand then back up to her brown eyes that hold nothing but hatred . “Can I help you?” I ask in a flat tone .

“ I saw the prince run off .”
