CHAPTER TWELVE (제 12 장)
"Kendra, will you be my date for the prom?"
I was shocked. I never expected anyone to actually ask me to prom. I've attended prom twice during grade school, but this is different. Lysander was standing in front of me, mwaiting for me to give an answer, with my friends surrounding us.
"Lysander.. I'd love to go to prom with you."
Here lies the memory of my embarassed self. The day went on with my friends teasing me about the "hot gymnast guy" asking me out to prom. Alice, a friend and co-theatre actor, pulled me outside of the AVR and we started walking to the auditorium for rehearsals.
"Ma, may sasabihin ako sa' yo."
"Hmm? Anong meron?"
"Did you know Lysander asked me if he could court me three days ago?"
I was stunned. WAIT WHAT?!

We finished the job in three and a half hours. Everything's cleared. As if nothing happened. There weren't much people in this part of the neighborhood so it was easier to clean up. I felt accomplished, but I still felt anxious. Last night was magical and bittersweet. I had to let him go and chase his dreams. That's the right thing to do. Amethyst nudged my elbow. "So can I get a peek on your dress now? The man was changing his mags when I turned around to see that he was aiming at the twins. The only thing I could think of that time was to take him down and save my best friends. I stood up from my chair and submitted my exam paper to my professor who was sitting in front. Finally the last day of exams and of this school year. As soon as we finished lunch, we went back straight to the classroom. Announcements spread quickly around the campus, rumor has it that there would be a pageant for sophomores.
