CHAPTER FIFTEEN(제 15 장)

Last night was magical and bittersweet. I had to let him go and chase his dreams. That's the right thing to do.

Amethyst nudged my elbow.

"So can I get a peek on your dress now? Grabe ha, nasa black bag pa."

I chuckled and rolled my eyes. I never told anyone what my outfit looked like, not even a hint.

"You'll see it when I wear it kapag natapos na tayo dito."

"Nako, Kendra ha. Pa-suspense ka pa. Pero ang ganda nung binili ni ate mo para sa'yo."

Our family friend, Ate Trina, was doing our hair and make-up for the prom. She was my older sister's best friend from college, and she's really good with the arts.

"Alam mo naman yun, ate Trina. Iniispoil na naman ako."

I giggled. Amethyst was checking her phone when we both received a notification on our beepers. I closed my eyes and silently sighed.

"Ayan, oh sige Kendra, magpalit ka na."

"Thank you, ate!"

I went to the changing room, took out my phone and took some selfies. I slipped the dress on and smiled as I saw myself in the mirror.
