Second Chance
It was finally the morning of the ceremony. Alys couldn’t decide if she was more nervous for her first shift or the ceremony itself. She had never been one for the spotlight so the idea of speaking in front of so many people made butterflies turn in her stomach. At least her first shift she would be in a quiet place, apart from everyone else with Aiden.
Alys had woken up early, she had felt a strange itching sensation all over her body, she couldn’t get comfortable so she hopped in the shower hoping that would ease it.

The morning and afternoon flew by as they spent most of it greeting the arriving Alpha’s and making sure they found their rooms to get changed and settled before the festivities in the evening. David and Clary stayed for another week after the ceremony. Being that they were True Mates, chosen for each other by the goddess, David was able to mark Clary tying their souls together. It was almost 5 am and Aiden was running his fingers through his hair as he sat at his desk going over the notes for his meeting that morning. He had a busy day as head of his family’s company and he ended up staying all night in his office. They owned a few construction company’s as well as a couple architectural firms in Wakerton City.
