After the chaos of everything that happened to Alys and Aiden and the Blue Lake Pack. It felt like having the ceremony only a few weeks later was perfect timing. Everyone was getting excited, unmated wolves were hoping to meet their mates in the guests from other packs, the kitchen staff were kept busy with the preparations and the warriors were doing extra training to make sure security would be flawless. Aiden wasn’t taking any chances. As one of the biggest and more richer packs around they had invited a lot of people. Alys was having a great time at the spa. When they arrived they found out that Aiden had booked the entire building just for them. First they went in to a steam room to relax and then hot showers, followed by soothing full body massages, a sushi lunch catered by her favourite restaurant, and finally finished with full manicures and pedicures. The ladies all spent the day laughing and chatting. It was nice to be able to just relax. It was finally the morning of the ceremony. Alys couldn’t decide if she was more nervous for her first shift or the ceremony itself. She had never been one for the spotlight so the idea of speaking in front of so many people made butterflies turn in her stomach. The morning and afternoon flew by as they spent most of it greeting the arriving Alpha’s and making sure they found their rooms to get changed and settled before the festivities in the evening. Before she knew it Alys was in Sara’s suite along with Clary and Lilly getting ready together for the ceremony. Clary was dressed in a floor length midnight blue sheath gown with quarter length lace sleeves and a v-neckline. She did her hair in a simple French twist, she looked amazing. Lilly was in a very expensive cream pant suit, but the top went down to the floor and swept back revealing the soft flowing pants underneath. It was simple yet elegant. Sara was dazzling in her red satin gown and her hair was curled and flowing freely, with a sexy smoky eye and matching red lipstick. Aiden saw Alys start to get pale and knew it was time to bring her to the clearing for her first shift. He already had Thomas bring some blankets and a light t-shirt out to the clearing he picked for them to provide some comfort. David and Clary stayed for another week after the ceremony. Being that they were True Mates, chosen for each other by the goddess, David was able to mark Clary tying their souls together. She would take on his longevity. She would never have a wolf but she would at least live as long as he does. Alys remembered reading that in the book she had gotten from Killian, Dr.Clarke asked to borrow it. It was hard for Alys to say goodbye to her mom. They had never been very far from each other. They promised to set up regular times to video chat every week. Alys heaved a great sigh as the events of that day came back to her. It was a day she will always remember… It was early morning and the snow had finally stopped. It had been one of the biggest snow storms they had seen in a long time in Hope Falls, with almost 3 feet of snow falling over night and Drew had been on call for snow removal that week. It was almost 5 am and Aiden was running his fingers through his hair as he sat at his desk going over the notes for his meeting that morning. He had a busy day as head of his family’s company and he ended up staying all night in his office. They owned a few construction company’s as well as a couple architectural firms in Wakerton City. Wakerton was a well developed city that served a lot of smaller communities around it and was the biggest city within a 5 hour drive, basically in the middle of nowhere in North Eastern Canada. It was also how his family helped support their pack. There weren’t a lot of werewolf packs in Canada but theirs, Blue Lake Pack, was one of the biggest on the east coast.
