Chapter 9: Embarrassment

The conference day has come. Millicent tried her best to look for formal attire to wear. She was going to attend an important event like this in the company where she's working in. This will be the first time Millicent would go out with the new CEO, Hansel, who just transferred to the company. Her officemates were making her nervous because of their stares last time and she couldn't find anything good for the party. It was already morning when Millicent finally managed to put on a business suit and looked in the mirror. She was just glad that her officemates won't be there because of the conference. The conference is being held in the capital, far away from where the office is situated. Millicent hurriedly walk and was relieved that she arrived on time at the cafe where she will meet the new CEO and former classmate.
