Chapter 14: Hansel's Mom

Millicent was working on her desk when suddenly, Hansel appeared beside her.

"Hello, Millicent!" he said cheerfully. "How are you today?"

Millicent was startled and froze in her chair. "Ah! Hello!" she greeted him back awkwardly. She remembered what her officemates have said at their dinner. She can't believe that he's here again, talking to her like their positions are alike. She's trying to remind herself that Hnasel is her boss while she is just an ordinary employee in the company. It's so hard to communicate so openly with him because of the rumors that can spread out throughout the company.

"Are you okay?" he asked her worriedly.

Millicent nodded, "Yeah, I'm fine."

"You look pale."

Millicent blushed and looked down. "Yes, I am a little tired."

"So, what have you been up to? I haven't had the chance to talk to you lately."
