Chapter 31

“I’ll be right out,” she said and Sheila just nodded in response.

She looked for the time on her phone and it was 11:30 PM. She was caught in work and for once she was happy that the dead patient didn’t bother her.

Picking up her stuff, she stuffed it all in her bag, not caring about how they were arranged. She walked out and scanned her ID.

It was dark. It had been four days since Dimitri left for Canada and Ayra wasted no time and moved out the next day. She lived in a small apartment with was at wake able distance from the hospital.

Exiting the hospital, she walked down the street. She was listing to music on her way back home. Yes, she was still afraid to sleep and live alone but this was much better than living with Dimitri. 

Her step came to a screeching halt when she noticed a figure standing right in front of her. Dread crawled up her spine and her body started shivering on its own accord.
