“Do you really not like chocolates?” She asked him in disbelief.
“Nope,” He said and shook his head.
“Who doesn’t like chocolates, everyone loves…” but she was cut midway when her phone started buzzing. She picked it up instantly after flashing a glance at the caller ID.
“Dr. Rivera, I need you to come to my office,” he said over the line.
“Okay,” and she was about to open her mouth, but he hung up.
“I’m sorry Jordan, we can continue this maybe after work?” She asked him sorrowfully.
“Sure, duty calls,” He passes her a smile and she stood up and made her way to the elevator.
She had come to realize a few things about Dimitri and one of them was, no matter how much you are tired, starving, or dying, patients are your priority. And she did like that about him. He was extremely dedicated and she admired that.
