"I heard a halfling is coming to get registered, where might they be, I have other matters that currently need my attention." a white haired man with youthful appearance spoke as he looked towards a dark-haired Man with thick eyebrows sitting with papers at hand.

The man controlled the administrative department of the bureau, appearance can be deceiving in the supernatural world, for despite his youthful appearance he was over a thousand years old.

"They would soon be here, Casper, so just suck it up. After all you just got here yourself" the dark-haired youth replied in a soothing voice that gave a certain calm.

As the two conversed, the door opened, showing forth a beautiful figure in silver armor. "Lady Sylvia, to what do we owe this visit." Casper said with a smile.

"Your presence is definitely a big honor, so your wish is our command" he continued while a gave a little bow.

"She is the one you are waiting for simp, proceed with your job and stop fooling around" the administrator imputed sharply.

Right at that moment Alex also entered the room and the gaze of the two people in the room was suddenly directed to him.

"This is Alex Anderson, the halfling, we are here to complete his ritual and get him registered" Sylvia said. She held Alex by the shoulder and pushed him softly to the front.

"Oh, to have the lieutenant personally escort you here, you must be exceptional uhh" Casper said as he inspected Alex from head to toes.

"Well, leave him to me, milady, I will take it from here. And of course if you need anything, do not hesitate to contact me, hehe." Casper said with a wink directed to Sylvia.

"Shameless", Sylvia muttered under her breath.

"I will be taking my leave now. I have other things to do." Sylvia replied.

"_Lord baelish" she took a bow towards the administrator and left for her other duties,

"Okay then. Let's complete your transformation halfling, follow me and don't fall behind" Casper said to Alex as he moved to a hallway that connected to god knows where.

Alex's mind has been in frenzy ever since he died and resurrected like the next Jesus. But now he was starting to take it all in little by little. Some questions have been popping up in his mind like, if he was a vampire, or at least half vampire, shouldn't he still be feeling a crazy thirst for blood or something. Those Hollywood movies does make it seem that way after all.

To be sincere, Alex felt quite excited about the whole prospect of being a vampire. He doesn't really have anything good going for him. His parents died when he was 3 and the only guardian he has which is his uncle goes on week long business trips. They hardly see each other, so to themselves they were more like strangers.

No girlfriend

No best friend

In fact, he had no friends or even enemies, so his life was just pretty boring.

Until now. Things may finally be turning up, and Alex was really curious how all this was going to play out.

"As far as you don't disappear on me, I think keeping up with you shouldn't be a problem" Alex replied,

"Disappear?" Casper looked back at Alex with a questioning look.

"Yeah, you know. Teleport or something. I saw a girl do it and one of those silver armored guys too" Alex said.

"Okay first lesson, vampires don't teleport except with a mage circle, courtesy of the witches. We are just really fast, too fast for your human eyes to follow, you will understand when you complete your transformation." Casper continued resumed walking as Alex tagged along behind him.

Erica opened her eyes only to be greeted with a bright light directly positioned above her face.

"She's awake" she heard a voice say.

"Can you hear me, princess?" Another voice said.

Erica slowly got up from the bed as gently shook her head as if to the disorienting feeling that lingered in her head.

That seemed to do the trick, since her eyes slowly adjusted to the lighting of her surrounding. A glass of liquid was stretched forth to her by azaroth.

"Drink this, it would help stabilize you"

Erica took the glass and drank its content in one full, a sweet-sour after-taste lingered in her mouth. It wasn't all that bad.

"How are you feeling, princess" one of the saints asked.

"Better than a few hours ago, but far from my peak" Erica replied as she messaged her shoulder.

"I need to feed, I'm so hungry"

"We prepared for that eventuality, here 3 fresh bloods extracted while you were asleep. It's still warm" azaroth handed over 3 blood bags to Erica.

"After you are done eating you are to go straight to the bureau and give a report and stand for trial" he muttered.

"I know okay" Erica answered begrudgingly. "How pissed off is my dad"

"I can't say, but you should cross your fingers' princess. You put your life at an unnecessary risk after all, he is definitely not pleased" azaroth replied. "Feed and get your strength, I will go check on the halfling" with that said azaroth took off in a blur, leaving Erica with blood bags in her hands.

She opened one and started drinking, a refreshing feeling coursed all through her body and her expression changed to one of immense satisfaction while her eyes shut, enjoying the intoxicating feeling.

"This is life, literally" Erica said as looked towards one of the said with a smile. Evidence of her hunger was apparent in the smile as her white, bloodied fangs came into view.

"So, how does this transformation stuff work?" Alex threw a question at Casper as they walked side by side.

"It'd pretty simple really, you just have to feed" Casper replied with a sly smile. He never got tired of seeing the transformation process. These days, getting a human-turned vampire was a bit rare, and the madness they descend to after getting a taste of blood was always fun.

"So I actually have to take blood, but why don't I have cravings for it" Alex asked.

"Seems you have accepted your reality quickly, that's good. Since you are just half vampire, you do not get to possess our qualities. No strength, no speed and no cravings."

"Doesn't that mean am still human? "

"Not really, if you don't drink blood within 24 hrs after your ritual you will die. It's as simple as that." Casper said. "We are here"

Alex followed Casper into a room that gave an unnatural chill.

"This is our blood bank where we keep our food" said Casper with a glint in his eyes.

The room, if it could be called that, was large to the extent it rivals grand halls of some museum. Several large blood banks were positioned all around the hall, different people could be seen walking about doing one thing or the other.

"Come with me, we got a special room for you" Casper said to Alex as they proceeded to a door located at the end of the hall.
