Quinn sat across from Kat at the kitchen table drinking yet another cup of coffee, minus Grandmother Kathryn’s truth serum. Everything was silent except the sound of the radio playing soft music in the background. The news had just gone off which told Quinn the time was just a few minutes after seven in the evening.

“So, what do we do now?” Kat asked with a tilt of her head.

Quinn set down his cup and folded his arms on the table. “I say you move in with me first, and then we’ll deal with the rest as it comes.”

Kat frowned, “I hope you’re not going to try and stop me from working at Moon Dance.”

Quinn blinked, “Actually, I hadn’t even thought about asking you that. I was thinking more along the lines of when we’re going to have time to get away. With the murders and the vampire threat hanging over us… it might be a while.”
