CHAPTER 9

The sound of the ringtone from Tessa's cell phone disturbed Tessa, who was still curled up in her blanket. Her hands groped at her bare sides, looking for the square object that was nowhere to be found.

Tessa finally wakes up and searches irritably. Her cell phone had fallen under the bed, small hands immediately grabbed the phone and swore briefly to see who was calling.

It was a little strange because the number that appeared was a number she didn't recognize. Tessa caught her breath and pressed the green button to answer the call.

"Hello."

The voice was a little heavy, but like a man who had matured enough to greet her, "Hello. Who are you?"

"Is it true I'm talking to Tessa Azela?"

"Yes. That's right."

"I'm Xander Leonidas. I got your number from my friend. Can we meet? I have a job for you."

"Wait, Mr. Xander. Do you want to hire my services? If so, I need to have data and information about you before making an appointment." Tessa got out of bed, walked over to the nightstand
