CHAPTER 5. DON'T BE LATE THIS SATURDAY

***Meeting room***

Adrian stopped the hot kiss and also the movement of his hand, quickly. Raisa's words made the turmoil of his young blood go out instantly. His face was cold and expressionless again.

As a professional CEO, he always keeps the agreements made by him. Although there was a little regret in his heart why the mutual agreement with Raisa only applies on weekends. 

Adrian's hands that were hugging the young woman's slender waist were released.

"Raisa. Don't be late this Saturday!" said Adrian.

"Okay, Adrian!" Raisa replied with a fake smile that appeared on the corners of her lips showing her dimples.

Adrian walked to his chair again. Meanwhile Raisa tidied up her work clothes which were unbuttoned due to Adrian's touch, before sitting back in her chair. The young woman wanted to finish her work quickly in order to get out of the meeting room.

Meanwhile Adrian took out his mobile phone and sent a message. His demeanor is very calm as if it is not the aggressive man who just had a hot kiss with Raisa. His facial expression was back to normal.

Just as Raisa stood up from her seat to say goodbye, the door to the meeting room opened. Bob, Adrian's personal secretary, walked into the meeting room with Tony, the cameraman for Sunshine magazine.

"CEO Adrian. Thank you for doing the interview and photo session with Sunshine Magazine," Tony said kindly.

Adrian answered with a nod of his head and an expressionless face. The man was known for his cold demeanor in public. 

Tony did not feel offended because he was used to it. Most of the young CEOs he's ever met act like Adrian. Maybe that's one of the characteristic of young CEOs these days.

“CEO Adrian, Tony. I'll excuse myself first," Raisa said while nodding her head slightly at Adrian before walking out of the meeting room.

“The photoshoot won't take long. CEO Adrian can continue to rest in this meeting room if you still feel tired," said Tony in a friendly manner. Tony's words were heard clearly by Raisa, when she was closing the meeting room door.

"Adrian deliberately asked Bob to hold Tony outside the meeting room." Raisa said in her heart. 

Of course no one dared to enter the meeting room because Bob was guarding the door. Raisa is sure that Adrian used the excuse of wanting to take a short break in the meeting room so that no one would enter the meeting room and disturb him.

"Really a professional CEO," Raisa thought while shaking her head slowly.

Raisa immediately headed to the third floor to continue her work. Katherine was waiting for her with sparkling eyes. That Raisa's co-worker couldn't wait to talk about Adrian.

"Sa! You are very lucky to be able to see CEO Adrian for forty-five minutes,” said Katherine.

Raisa smiled slightly while shaking her head. She didn't expect Katherine to count how long Adrian had been in the meeting room with her. 

If only Katherine knew Raisa spent a long night with Adrian every weekend, maybe Katherina would praise Raisa for getting the main prize jackpot.

"Tony is doing a photoshoot in the meeting room," said Raisa.

"I still have a chance to meet CEO Adrian," said Katherine.

Katherine took a small mirror from her bag and looked in the mirror to tidy up her appearance. 

When she felt pretty enough, Katherine trotted up to the second floor, looking for a chance to get close to Adrian.

Meanwhile, Raisa sat in front of her laptop and opened an email sent by Charlie. The young woman was very calm and did not feel threatened by Katherine or the other female employees. Adrian is not hers, neither her boyfriend nor her husband. Their relationship is just an intimate relationship.

"Charlie works fast," Raisa muttered while reading the email from Charlie.

Sunshine Magazine is one of the best-selling and well-known magazines in Bali. In general the employees who work at Sunshine magazine are very competent.

The fierce competition to get a decent job in this modern era makes everyone try hard to maintain their respective jobs.

Raisa is one of them. The young woman was already comfortable with her job as a junior editor at Sunshine. Although this job is not in accordance with her ambition during high school, Raisa really likes it. 

A good boss, co-workers who don't interfere in her personal affairs and a safe work environment make Raisa feel at home.

Raisa is fully concentrated on doing her job. Raisa's hand movements dance beautifully on the laptop keyboard to summarize the results of Adrian's interview based on the file that was sent by Charlie and also the file she made earlier. 

Just before it was time to go home from work, Raisa had finished summarizing everything and sent it to Mrs. Margot's email.

"I will buy Sherina's favorite strawberry." Raisa thought in her mind.

Every day Raisa finishes work, Raisa would go to the Healing Hands Hospital to accompany Sherina. It can be said that Raisa stays there every day with her lovely daughter. The next morning the young mother would return to the rented house to take a shower, change clothes, and go to work.

Only on Saturday and Sunday nights, Raisa was forced to use the excuse of having a lot of work in the office so she couldn't accompany Sherina to sleep because she had to spend the night at Adrian's apartment. 

Sherina is an obedient and independent child. The little girl knows Raisa works hard at the office to pay for the hospital fees so she never whines or blames her mommy for not being able to sleep with her on Saturdays and Sundays.

Weekend is coming fast. As usual Raisa works overtime at Sunshine's office. After finishing her work, Raisa immediately rushed to Adrian's Royal Residence Apartment with her Honda Scoopy motorcycles. The young woman didn't want to be late again like last week.

Raisa breathed a sigh of relief as she walked into the apartment, which was still pitch black, a sign that Adrian had not yet arrived. 

Raisa immediately walked towards Adrian's bedroom door. Every time Raisa comes to the Royal Residence Apartment, only the bedroom is her destination.

Adrian's apartment is full of modern style decor. The large and clear glass windows offer a very beautiful view. However, Raisa never enjoyed it.

The young woman lay on the bed waiting for Adrian to come home. Her eyes stared at the ceiling. Raisa mind drifted far away to the hospital where Sherina was.

“Did Sherina sleep well tonight?” Raisa said on her heart.

Today is Sherina's last day of chemotherapy. The chemotherapy schedule is given in cycles, namely chemotherapy for one week and then followed by a rest period for three weeks. 

This is the third time Sherina has undergone chemotherapy while being treated at the Healing Hands Hospital.

Doctor Elton, an oncologist who treats Sherina, said that her daughter's illness could be predicted whether it would improve or she would have to continue chemotherapy again after undergoing chemotherapy for the first three months.

Raisa hopes that Sherina will soon recover from her illness. Every time she saw her little daughter's thin body and hair fall, Raisa's heart ached very much.

"I have to be optimistic. Sherina can definitely recover," Raisa thought in her mind.

If Sherina recovers completely, that's when the intimate relationship with Adrian will end. The relationship that made Raisa's mind tormented all this time.

Raisa knows her relationship with Adrian is the same as that women in nightclubs, who give their bodies to please men. However, she had no other choice. Raisa tries to be strong for Sherina's sake.

"It's eleven o'clock at night," Raisa said, looking at watch on her wrist.

Raisa's eyes stared at the nightstand beside the bed, especially in the drawer. Without hesitation her hand pulled the small drawer out of curiosity about what was inside. 

Raisa's eyes were big and her cheeks were flushed red like fresh tomatoes. A small box containing a rubber sheath used during fantasy adventures with Adrian filled the little drawer.

The young woman quickly closed the drawer again. Even the nightstand lamp on the table was also turned off by Raisa because of her surprise. 

Raisa has often seen Adrian take the small box from the drawer there. However, Raisa never thought that there were so many small boxes in the drawer.

"Crazy! So many! Is it possible that Adrian has another mistress?” Raisa said spontaneously.

Adrian's tireless fantasy adventures made Raisa suspect that the man was dating another woman. Even the man's stamina is always getting better and drains Raisa a lot of energy. The young woman had suspected whether Adrian was taking certain drugs to support the fantasy adventure activity.

"Gosh! Don't think about it anymore. That's his privacy," said Raisa, patting her cheek.

The super king size mattress under her felt very comfortable, plus the dimly lit room atmosphere made Raisa fall asleep without realizing it. 

Raisa woke up from a deep sleep when she felt a big and warm hand touching her face.
