Chapter 76

Lexi’s pov

Passing the Alpha's guards Nolan waved at them like a weirdo and I snapped at him to knock it off.

“They're dealing with the death of their coworkers so turn your exuberance down a notch,” I hissed.

He pulled me closer and kissed my cheek.

“Sorry sweetheart, I am happy to have been lifted from death. It was tragic and I am elated to be breathing once again,” he said firmly and I closed my mouth seeing how serious he was being.

Opening the side entrance I watched him walk past me and said, “Sorry for raining on you cheating death.”

Side-eyeing me he chuckled and shook his head as he twirled me around in his arms, dipped me then pressed his lips firmly against my own.

When he was finished with his kiss I was shocked by his outlandish behavior.

“What's gotten into you, Nolan? You're normally the reserved brother,” I mumbled softly.

“Being dead makes a man rethink his priorities,” he said with a cheesy grin.

Giggling I swatted playfully at his chest and he captured my hands and
