Chapter 1 Drenched bitch

Louisa's POV

"Do I really have to eat this kind of shit for my entire senior year at our school?" I stared at the gooey bread soaked in suspicious red sauce on my plate.

"We can't afford to be a critical eater." Jackie poked a piece of undercooked chicken in her place. "I need to take in some protein or else I can't survive the afternoon sessions. I mean, why do I have to learn Chemistry? Those chemicals in the lab drive people crazy. I've dated a chemist before and I swear he eats chalk."

Leah took her seat in front of us and said, "Jackie, stop poking your food."

Being the elder sister of Jackie, Leah had a finely developed sense of sin. Playing with food was a sin. Idling was a sin. Fooling around with boys was a sin. She suffered bravely and uncomplainingly through her life as a farmer's daughter convinced that was the way the Moon Goddess wanted every wolf to live.

"Yeah, sis, you're right. If I keep poking this chicken, it might wake up and fly away from the plate." Jackie put the fork down.

Unlike her straight-as-an-arrow elder sister, Leah was a bubbly red-headed girl with a wicked sense of humor.

"Tell me what I'm looking at. I need a second opinion." I took a glance at the next table and lowered my voice.

"The train wreck murder scene on your plate or Jessica Soyer and her minions?" Jackie raised her eyebrows.

"Is there a difference?" I asked.

Both of us tittered.

The queen bee at our school, Jessica Soyer, was boasting about her holiday man-hunt experience in front of her flock.

Girls like her came from upstart families and were either spoiled or neglected throughout their lives. That's why they crave people's attention for a living.

I wouldn't be surprised if she claimed that she collected and framed men's pubic hair on her bedroom wall as souvenirs.

"Shhhh!" Jackie put a finger on her lips and urged us to shut up, but it was too late.

Queen bee, apparently annoyed, stood up and strode in front of our table.

"What the fuck are you laughing about? Wenches?!" Jessica snarled.

"We're having a private conversation." I stared at her and said.

"Yeah, it's none of your business. Walk off, Jessica," Jackie rolled her eyes so hard that she could see the back of her head.

"Jackie, stop talking to people like that. It's rude," Leah whispered and warned.

"Oh, really?! Private conversation?" Jessica glared at us and folded her arms. Then, she kicked our table abruptly. The plates flipped and bounced off the tabletop.

Suspicious red sauce splashed and soiled my white blouse. Both Leah's and Jackie's dresses were soiled as well.

"What the f...?!" Jackie snapped.

But her words were beaten by her sister's -

"Sorry, Jessica. My sister is a bit clumsy..."

Her voice was so low that it was like a whisper.

I knew she was trying to avoid conflicts with Jessica.

"What's the matter with you, sis?! It was Jessica who kicked the table! Why do you have to apologize to her?!" Jackie argued furiously.

"Jackie O'Reilly! Don't say one more word!" Leah stared at her sister, pulling her sleeves in secret.

"Bitch, you want to start with me?!" Jessica suddenly shoved her hand through Jackie's collar and grabbed her bra and pulled it out.

Jackie slapped Jessica's hand and growled, "Fuck you, slut! Keep your paws off my underwear!"

Before I could do anything, Jessica and Jackie started scuffling with each other.

The whole cafeteria started to get chaotic. Nobody wanted to miss the catfight between two women who were pulling each other's hair.

Leah tried to pull Jackie back, but she was pushed away by Jessica.

Tripped over something, Leah fell to the ground and banged her head against the table.

Blood was pouring down her forehead like a fountain.

Terrified, I rushed forward to check on her.

Looking at her injured sister, Jackie transformed into a female coyote. She pulled up an iron chair and threw the heaviest blow at Jessica, but her arm was stopped by a pair of giant hands.

The cafeteria became dreadfully silent.

I looked up and saw the principal, Mr. Dickson, standing behind Jackie, holding her arms.

Being a formidable man with a sinister smile, Mr. Dickson was known for being a snob and a pain in the ass for underprivileged students at school. I mean, throw that man a top hat and he could play a villain in Oliver Twist without putting on make-up.

"Miss O'Reilly, what are you doing to Miss Soyer?" His eyes were glued to Jackie's torn underwear.

"That fucking bitch started it!" Jackie roared like a furious mother bear, trying to protect her cub.

"Mind your language, Miss O'Reilly," Mr. Dickson warned.

Jackie noticed the salacious look on Mr. Dickson's face. She pushed him away and adjusted her torn shirt.

Leah, with blood pouring down her forehead, removed her overcoat and wrapped her sister up.

"Mr. Dickson. It's good to have you here." Jessica looked at the principal with her watery puppy eyes. "I was having lunch and then Jackie poured soup all over my blouse. I'm wet all over!"

Mr. Dickson stared at her torso beneath the tight, drenched blouse and said, "Yes, darling. I see."

"You're a lying bitch!" Jackie hissed. "If I had wanted to pour something all over you, I wouldn't have used fucking cold soup! I would have poured a pot of boiling oil all over you before setting you on fire! Because all lying bitches burn in hell!"

I pulled Jackie and explained, "Mr. Dickson, it was Jessica who kicked the table and pushed Leah."

"Fuck you, Louisa!" Jessica leered at me. "I can smell the stench of you from 15 blocks away! Go fucking clean the horseshit on your hands and hair before showing up in a public place!"

She would always tease me because my parents worked on a horse farm. It seemed that she had an uncontrollable need to feel superior to others.

"Plus, all the girls are my witnesses!" Jessica took a glance at her minions and gloated.
