Chapter 8

After Peter sent Amelia and Chloe home, he rushed to the company. He knew that people talk about his boss and that there were all kinds of rumors out there, but what Chloe said, wasn’t that slightly over the top.

“Did you send her home?” Axel asked when he saw Peter entering his office. Peter had informed him that Amelia wanted to be discharged and there was nothing he could do to keep her in the hospital so, he had ordered Peter to send her home and make sure that she was safe.

“Yes, boss,” Peter answered. He was looking at his boss unsure of where to begin. He did not know if he had the right to ask whether he had stopped by the hospital or tell him everything that he had heard.

His boss seemed to have a good impression of the young lady. How will he feel if he knew how they perceived him?

Peter shuddered at the thought of his boss flaring up and did not dare think about it anymore.
