Chapter 7

After crying again, Amelia felt much better.

“Help me to the bathroom,” she said to Chloe who was looking at her with a worried gaze. She has been feeling out of place but seeing her best friend who has always been there for her no matter what, she did not feel like dying anymore.

There was a statement that was now ringing in her mind continuously. She heard someone say it to her this morning, ‘I won’t permit you to die just yet. You still have a lot to accomplish.’ Although she felt that at this stage in life she had nothing to accomplish, her heart felt explicitly at peace when she recalled those words.

Amelia stayed in the shower for so long that Chloe started to worry.

“Have you drowned in the bathtub?” she asked towards the bathroom.

“I will be out in a minute,” Amelia shouted back.

“The doctor is waiting.”

“Alright.”

After taking a long shower, she felt so much better. She felt that she had returned to the realm of mortals after dangling at the gates of hell.
