Chapter 17

Chance’s POV

I woke up this morning worried about Ella. My wolf was telling me something wasn’t right. Samantha told me that Ella texted she wasn’t feeling well last night and that she went to lie down. I figured she would be in one of the guestrooms, so I got up and started looking for her. All the rooms had been occupied by someone else or empty.

I walked down the hall that led to Hunter’s office and found the door shut. I knocked hoping he was inside but there was no answer, so I opened the door to see if he was just ignoring me and walked in. I looked around the room since no one was here. I walked over to Hunter’s desk and flipped through some files he had laying on top of his desk. What an idiot I thought to myself. I would never leave these files just sitting out like this.
