Chapter 107

Ella’s POV

Caleb grabbed me and pinned me to the wall our bodies touching and our lips only a fragment apart. I could feel his warm breath on my skin as it burned without his touch. He moved his head to the crook of my neck and inhaled my essence as he lingered there a few more seconds before he said, “Cherry blossoms, just like in my dreams.”

My breath was hitched with his words but I found my will to speak, “You dreamt of me?”

“Only every night since my first shift.” He said as his eye came back up to meet mine. “I never thought you were real.”

“I’m real and I am here.” I tell him as I try to move into kiss his lips just so I could taste him once again but he moves away from me denying me.

“You are mated to the strongest Alpha in our area. Nothing good will come of this.” He said and he pushes himself away from the wall and me.

This is not the Caleb that I was once mated to and I wonder if it was because Baren had not raised him and that his real father had. I remember Ca
