Chapter 86: The Alpha: Iago

Damon's POV

"Hello, son. You make it."

I didn't think that my dad would be the first person I saw when I got to the top of the mountain. The air is cold, and fog covers the entire area.

"D-dad."

Dad chuckled. "Hmm, you don't seem happy. Long time no see."

"As far as I can tell, you're not glad to see me. It would be pointless if I hugged you."

Dad laughed. Because of wolfsbanes between us, he halted a few meters away. It was like a garden of wolfsbane plants.

"How does it feel? Be a Lycan? To be the strongest of all?" he asked. "Did you feel the craving for blood and power?"

"Why would you ask? Are you curious to know if we feel the same way?"

"No. We'll never feel the same way again. You are different."

"Yes, you are right; I am different. Both of us are different." I said. The wind started blowing again, and the smell of wolfsbane drifted through the air. I felt something strange inside my body. I can't explain why. But it's like hot water that starts to boil inside of me.
