Chapter 3

My breathing is so fast as I tried to run. I bite my lip when suddenly I stumble while running. How unlucky I am!

I heaved a sigh when finally I can hear students from the other section. I can see that  Clara is leading them.

They tried to scare me in the front gate. The security guard isn't around so they are very brave to make fun of the students they wanted to bother. I am not scared but for sure it will takes a lot of time to argue with them. I am tired of this stuffs.

I let a heavy sigh again as I slowly stand up.

I think I really need to handle this. 

I rolled my eyes as I slowly faced them.

The University is so quiet because it was still so early. Maybe they find it as an opportunity to attack students. These idiots!

"So here comes the bossy and arrogant student who thinks that she is the most genius in the class." Clara uttered sarcastically while clapping.

My eyes darted to her and I can't help but to show them that I am uninterested to them. 

I heaved a sigh when one of them grab my uniform and pulled me.

"You look so bossy, huh? You are so full of yourself when you can't even fight back." The tall girl said while acting tough in front of my face to look cool from his stupid friends.

"Fighting back with narrow minded people is such a waste of time." I mumbled lazily that made the girl's eyes widened.

There are a lot of them in the back. I can see Clara, there are also two of my classmates with them and the other is coming from the other section. I think there are four boys with them and also four girls in total. Wow, they brought such a lot of members when they will just going to bully a loser like me? I feel special, it makes me wanted to laugh. HAHAHHAHAHA

My heart skipped a bit when the girl lifted her arms to slap me. 

My teeth gritted when I met the ground because of the impact of the girl's slap. I laughed sarcastically as I slowly lift my gaze to them.

I smirk and decided to stand already.

I faced the girl again acting like I am not hurt. There is no way for me to show them that I am scared of them.

"You all are so pathetic," I uttered in front of the girl's face.

I saw her reaction slowly change. She looked so fumming mad that it makes me wanted to laugh. 

"You bitch!" The girl shouted before pushing me so hard.

I found myself sitting in the cold and dusty floor of the hallway.

I can already see how dirty my uniform is. My skirt is showing a little bit of skin from my legs.

I saw the other guy walking near me. My glares darted to him as he position his self near me.

"I wonder why students keep bullying you, you look pretty and kind of sexy, why don't you-"

The guy is about to move his self closer to me but Clara immediately pull him so that she can face me instead.

"Shut up Royce, stop flirting this time." Clara uttered as she look at me.

"And you bitch, we are not done with you, learn your lesson." She added while pointing me.

I smiled sarcastically while watching them walking out in the hallway. Maybe they notice that the other students and teachers are already coming.

I heaved a sigh as I clean myself up. I grab my bag from the floor and tie the shoe laces of my black boots.

I fix my hair again and continued walking in the classroom acting like nothing happened.

Just like the usual I am alone there waiting for our advicer.

After a few minutes other students are already noisy from the other sections and I just ignored them.

"You early, huh."

I innocently lifted my eyes when I heard a familiar voice.

Matt Stevans is coming in my way. He looks energetic as always.

I stared at him. I tilted my head my head while watching him walk.

"And you are not." I uttered as he also stood up beside me.

"Why? Are you waiting for me?" He ask but I only rolled my eyes.

I didn't answer him and stared at the hallway instead.

The teacher gets mad easily whenever students get late but if they are the one who gets late no one is complaining.

I pouted while staring at the other students walk just like how normal students should be. I hope they are not having a hard time providing their daily needs. I hope their parents aren't tired sustaining what their children needs. I hope they have a complete family.

It is just so hard to imagine people also suffering because I know how it feels. I know how it feels if you are not having the capabilities to provide all the things you want.

"What happened to you? Your uniform looks messy." Matt ask but of course there is no way for me to tell him what happened.

"Nothing, I did not notice the stains. Just ignore it." I uttered and decided to watch our teacher already opening our classroom.

We immediately go inside and do the usual routine of a student such as cleaning the floor and checking some trash cans.

"So are we going out later?" Matt ask but I am too pre-occupied of thinking something in my mind.

I just want to escape for a moment. I just wanted to froget things around me. What the actual fuck of fuck is this?

I heaved a sigh.

"What is it?" I ask again because I can't process what he said.

"Later, are we still going out?" He ask and I just nodded to him when suddenly I also remember what I promised to him yesterday.

The class started already and there is something inside of me that is wanting for the class to end already. This is tiring, and Matt Stevans told me that we are going in a shop. I wonder where it is.

The lunch came and just I am expecting Matt is already waiting and also excited for it.

"So where are we going now?" I ask while putting my hands inside the pocket of my coat.

"In the Taurus Shop. It a shop full of random stuffs. I am working there. Part time." Matt uttered that made my eyes widened. 

Part time?

"Are you working? Part time?" I ask with amusement on me.

"Yeah, every Saturday and Sunday. Only on weekends because i need to go to school, you know that." He explained again and it feels like it awakens all my interests.

"Are they still finding for a worker or something? I just need to have a work." I ask but his brows only furrowed.

"I don't think so, but I will try asking them." He answered and it gives me motivation to really come with him on that shop.

We really did come there. An old man greeted Matt inside. 

"Matt, you are here again. How's your studies?" The old man asks and Matt only gave him a thumbs up.

"Owh, who is this beautiful lady with you?" The old man laugh and patted Matt's shoulder.

"My classmate," he answered and glance at me.

"She also wanted to have part time here." He added as my eyes widened.

Why did he tell him right away. I bet he is the owner of the shop.

"Hmm, really? You should ask Marinelle about that. You know me, I don't have problems about everything. Is is just her who is too hard to understand."  The old man explained and I just smiled to him.

"You can both go back here tommorow, she is not around yet." The man added so Matt decided and invite me inside the shop instead.

"Mrs. Marinelle is kind of strict, I hope she will agree that you will also work here." He uttered while he is touring me inside the shop.

There are a lot of thrifted pants inside. There are also sections with brand new stuffs such as dresses and shoes. There vintage furniture in the back, school supplies etc. They have a lot of things but the space is not the same as those shops in the mall.

"Anyways, why do you want to have job? Did your brother allow you?" He ask after a minute of lurking inside inside the shop.

My brows furrowed, he knows about my brother? How? 

He noticed my reaction so he immediately scratch the back of his head.

"Uhm, you mentioned it in the class before, you are living with a brother and I often saw him driving for you." He explained but I did not respond about it anymore.

After those scenes we decided to go to school already since we still need to have lunch.

"I'll treat you a drink for lunch." Matt uttered while we are walking.

I glance at him.  He is smiling and determined for whatever he is thinking. 

"Suit yourself." I simply answered and patted his shoulder.

Just like what he said he indeed treated me a drink and we eat together inside the room. Nobody is around yet, lucky.

When it was already one o'clock in the afternoon the class started again and just like the usual I don't have a choice but to go with the flow.

"I think I need to rush in the house. Mom texted me, Telly. " Matt uttered and I just nodded to him.

It is not that we always hang out.

My lips parted as I stared at the moon. It was trying to lighten the whole village and people should be thankful about it. We need to be thankful about everything we have, I just hate it whenever people keep complaining about the life they have when in fact they are much luckier. There are a lot of people who is suffering more than they experienced. They are just too demanding and doesn't want to be contented.

I heaved a sigh when I heard my brother calling me inside the house.

"Telly, get inside. It is getting late and it's cold outside." He uttered so I immediately followed him.

In the next day just like a typical and a usual student, I am always doing my best to get a good grades even if they call me tough and bossy, I don't have a lot of friends.

I mean it's just I wanted to focus on my studies.i don't have time to hang out with them that is why they find me like an out cast. Not at all, I enjoy and prefer this kind of life. 

"Telly, are you going with us later. We will have a party,it's Yuhan's birthday." Annie said, a nice classmate of mine. She is friends with everyone and doesn't have a say to anyone's life. I hope everyone will be like that and stop minding other people's businesses. I am glad that to all my bad classmates, there are one who treat me nicer.

"But I need to finish my project in Practical Science, Annie." I smiled sadly so she immediately nodded.

"Well, it's okay. It is better to prioritize that" she smiled back and walk near me to whisper something.

Matt is already not around since he said last day that he need to run some errands on their house at this hour just like yesterday.

"Just lend me some answers." She laugh but I know she is just joking since she is smart too among the class.

It is just she have a lot of friends and she can't say no to them, aside from that, she loves partying.

I laugh at her too as she slowly leave the room.

I am still keeping my things when I noticed someone coming so I immediately lifted my gaze.

"Are you really not coming on my birthday, huh?"

My brows furrowed when I saw Yuhan. I raised my left brows on him.

"Huh?" I ask with confusion.

I heard him but why would he ask me regarding his birthday. It is not that I am being rude, we are not close.

I mean we are classmates but I don't usually hang out with them.

I can't even remember that we talked before even once.

Besides this is the first time that we became classmates on this school year.

I realized that I sounded rude so I immediately but my lip to think for an answer.

"Uhm, sorry, I am busy for today. By the way happy birthday." I uttered, trying to be joyful and nice so that he will stop talking to me already. 

I hate socializing! So much!

But instead of leaving me alone Yuhan just gave me a sarcastic smile while walking near towards my direction.

"You are very rude, don't you?" He uttered while smiling sarcastically.

"I'm sorry?" I uttered with confusion and disbelief.

"Mr. Yuhan Grande, I am really busy for today, I need to do a lot fo things, I am sorry. If you don't have something to say anymore you can now go out so that I can already go." 

I am not holding my bag and ready to go but it seems like he was not giving any interests about my litany. Well, I don't care, it's not that I care about him.

I rolled my eyes at the end when I saw his mad reaction. 

"I wonder if you can still utter those words and I wonder if you can still refuse if you will found out that I invited Annie because my friends supposedly make fun of you and Annie. But since it is just her alone, then it won't be so exciting as what I am expecting."

My brows furrowed about what he said.

"What are you planning to do with Annie, huh? You evil piece of shit."

"Why do you care? Awh, I forgot, you and her is a little bit close. Well, decide now and help her." He laugh with a devilish voice.

They are so evil for such a young age.

"I said what are you planning to do with Annie? She is a nice girl." I uttered again while I am trying to stop myself from gritting my teeth.

"Earlier, I invited Annie. For sure she is already in my pad with our other classmates. I told her to also invite you but since you refused, maybe it will be just her alone receiving our trips." He laughed again and I can already feel the anger in my whole system.

"You evil son of a bitch!" I said angrily but he immediately grab my hands and smirk evily.

"What did you say? You are really bossy and annoying!" He exclaimed but I immediately slap his face hard.

I saw a little blood on his lips. His eyes widened as he also aggressively walk towards me. I immediately punch his face again. His friends outside already entered the room when they heard our noises.

"Dang this girl." Yuhan uttered and muttered some curses. 

"What's happening here Yuhan?" A friend of him ask.

I also glance at them but they are also looking and staring at me like I did something terrible to them.

"Ignore her. Let us just go to my pad and enjoy." He uttered and left me there hanging.

I don't know what to do. What are they going to do with Annie. Are they going to hurt her?

"No!" I also exclaimed trying to stop them from leaving

"I said ignore her,go already and have fun, I will just follow." Yuhan added and his friends immediately followed him like an idiots dominated by this asshole.

I immediately walk towards the door and followed his friends. Yuhan Grande is so aggressive and also tried to run after me.

"Where are you going, huh? I thought you are not going with us." Yuhan uttered but I immediately pushed him away.

"If something happened to Annie, you will regret your whole life." I uttered and even if I wanted to go and find for Annie I don't have  a choice anymore when I saw my brother walking towards our classroom.

"Telly, what is that?" My brother ask me as I slowly turned my back from Yuhan Grande

"Nothing, just an idiot lurking around." I teased as I run towards him and left Yuhan there.

"I waited for you outside. You are not there yet so I decided to go here already." He said but I don't have in the mood anymore to have a conversation with him.

I decided to text Annie. I am worried that they might hurt her. I am not really that close to Annie. I don't give a damn to them but Annie is an innocent and nice person. She is genuine and she doesn't deserve to be played by those evil classmates of us. I know whenever Annie joining their squad they keep commanding her around and ask her different stuffs like a servant and I hate it so much.

I texted Annie and using my brother's phone in the messenger. I ask her where is she and reminded her to take care of herself. Go home early and don't drink too much. 

Annie is smart. She will immediately get it that there is something wrong. I know she also noticed whenever our classmates are trying to dominate her, she is just naturally kind and considerate.

She replied to me fast.

Annie: Of course Telly. You startled me. You are not the type who text a lot. HHAHAHAH see you tomorrow.

I heaved a sigh because of her reply. I bite my lip when Annie sent me a picture of her enjoying Yuhan's party.

Please guide and protect her. She is too precious to be hurt.
