“sorry." I murmured and followed him into the bedroom. I tried to catch up to him but he was indeed, fast.

“We're leaving." He said, his voice was still and cold.

“Because I lied to you about food, you want us to leave." He turned to me.

Dear God, any other person would run away from that stare. It was like molten steel was dancing behind his eyes, it was scary and intimidating. My legs wobbled but I gave none of my fear away.

“You lied to me about someone calling you. I thought somehow, someone had gotten a hold of your number and —" he didn't complete his statement but his eyes went from hard and daunting, to vulnerable and scared.

He let his mask fall but placed it up again before I could speak about it.

“We're leaving."

“What is it?."

“Cristela.... Go and take your bath and wait in the living room while I gather our things. We're going back."

I kicked my self mentally. I had ruined everything, this beautiful man was happy this morning, happy.
