“Our first guess was that she was hemorrhaging." The surgeon said to me.

He looked uncertain, as if talking to me was breaking some protocols.

“Are you sure you are the patient's fiance?." He asked me.

I didn't know how many times I had to confirm the fact, I was not with any evidence and she was not wearing her engagement ring. My reason for being here and not knowing she was here at all was one reason why they doubted me.

“I thought she was at home," I said, my voice was breaking up once again. “So was she actually hemorrhaging?."

“No, we thought it was a miscarriage. When we finally examined her, we saw that the fetus had attached itself to the wall of her womb. We see it occasionally, but her bleeding was extreme because of stress, if it gets heavier it's likely to lead to a miscarriage." The man said.
