64. It looks like I was wrong

Constance's point of view:

I slowly open my eyes, my head hurts a lot. I supported my head with my palms as I tried to sit up. Why does my head hurt so much? Where am I? What happened to me? I'm confused.

“You are finally awake, sweetheart."

What! That's Darren's voice. How is that possible? I must be dreaming. Darren is in prison. There's no way he could be talking to me right now because I'm not in the prison with him.

I fearfully look to my left where his voice came from, praying so hard that I will not see Darren, that whatever I heard will just come from my head and not be a reality.

I flinched greatly when my eyes fell on Darren who had a smug smile on his lips which I noticed to be broken. His face also has some fresh scars on it. He looks like someone who had been torturing. Of course, he should. He's in prison and some prison mates are psychos. If you should survive in a prison, you should be strong to defend yourself and it looks like Darren is not.
