CHAPTER 43: PLEASE DIVORCE ALEXANDER

I sat behind the desk occupied with the student's assessments. I had dropped them for a while and now, seeing them on my table, tall and frightening, they were beginning to choke too much. Janet was on her annual leave, there was no way she was going to help with this. She hated going home with school work and preferred everything that needed to be done in their appropriate places.

“Melissa,” one of the teachers called out. I forced my head away from the piled up work.

“Yes?”

“There's a lady at the waiting room asking for you.”

“Lady? Me?” I asked again like there was 2 Melissa in the office

“Yeah, she gave a perfect description of you in short.”

“Thank you, I'll be out soon,” I said, trying to wrap up the current book I was assessing.

I was a huge fan of floral flared skirts and boot heels, it gave me the kind of confidence I seeked. And also, plus it made me look so good. I walked into the waiting room to find the lady that was claimed to be adopted into the Thatcher
