Chapter 34

  David sat in the hotel all night, puzzling about this new information. At dawn, the ashtray was already full of cigarette butts.

He felt like he was in a fog. The light was in front of him, but he couldn\'t find the exit.

When the knock on the door rang out, the cigarette butt at his fingertips was about to burn his fingers. He stubbed it and got up to check the peephole in the door. Michael is outside, his face is full of anxiety.

\"Why are you here?\"

Michael stepped into the room without speaking. David closed the door behind him. Before he could ask questions, Michael hugged him.

He was all sweaty and must have come here in a hurry.

David held out his hand and said, \"I\'m okay. Don\'t hold me so tightly.\"

Michael didn\'t listen. David felt that his ribs were about to be broken.

In desperation to get him off, David gave him a kiss on the cheek. \"I\'m okay, really!\"
