Episode 5

Chapter 5

Maria had barely gotten far when she was being grabbed by Ryder and Kenny who caught her easily. She tried to kick herself out of their grasp but it was too tight.

"Let me go, you crazy people" She yelled as she bite Kenny's hand who was holding her and he gave her a back hand slap as the other Person stopped him.

"Dude take it easy. She is just a lady. She doesn't need to be maltreated. Besides boss didn't say we could beat." He said as Kenny replied,

"Then she should keep her fucking teeth to herself or I am going to rip it out." He said as they dragged her back to the basement.

Adrian was seated on his chair when they came in dragging her with them and they threw her to the ground in front of him, almost three feet where Simon's dead body laid as Maria resisted the urge to throw up.

"Well seems like we have an issue on our hands. All because you couldn't stop your curiosity now you have in bigger soup." Adrian said as Maria looked at him, anger overtaking the fear as she said,

"You are a murderer. You murdered an innocent man in cold blood. You do not deserve to live. You will pay for your crimes." Kenny wanted to walk forward and hit her but Adrian held his hand up stopping him.

"Kenny, take a walk. You are going to kill her in that state you are in..Ryder make sure you stay with him." He said as Ryder nodded his head Before dragging Kenny out of there leaving Kelvin behind who was still motionless at the shadows watching everything.

"Is he your lap dog? Your killing machine? Am I right..you think that you can suddenly earn my trust because you told him to take a fucking walk." She yelled as Adrian rolled his eyes and said,

",I don't need an audience present to kill you neither do I need someone to pull the fucking trigger. Act nicely towards me or you may just meet the same end your friend here did." He said gesturing to the dead body as Maria registered his words and looked away keeping quiet.

Adrian took in her appearance, as he realized that this was the same woman who spilled him coffee. He was sure of it now, he didn't know that she had some spit fire in her. If it was some people they would be begging for mercy and promising not to say anything but her she was shaking with anger annoyance that she wasn't in a position to slap the hell out of him.

Deep down he knew that was what she was itching for, even though she might lose her life at the process.

He jerked his head towards her as Kelvin walked towards her and took her bag from her body as Maria snapped her head up.

"Hey, what do you think you are doing? That's private property. You can't" She said before she was cut off by a stern glare and she bit her lips, and clenched her fist trying to stop herself from swinging at him. She wanted to be able to walk out of here alive not dead and that meant she had to keep her anger under a tight leash.

"Go to hell prat, both of you.." she mumbled underneath her breath. Thankfully they didn't hear what she said as Kelvin searched through her purse trying to look for an ID. He found one and opened it as he frowned before facing Adrian.

"Well? What does it say?" He asked as Kelvin replied,

"We have a serious issue." With that he showed her the IDs and Adrian saw that this woman was his father's personal assistant and from tomorrow, his personal assistant as well.

Fuck, he kidnapped his PA that he was supposed to meet the next day. This could not get any worse. They could not kill her because his father would start a fucking investigation the next day.

"Damn it, that rules out killing. What other options do we have here?" He asked Kelvin as Maria looked at them in half surprise half disgust.

"You better pray to God you kill me because once I get out of here, I am making sure that you spend the rest of your life behind jail's for killing an innocent man."

"Who told you the man was innocent?" He said unable to ignore her as he strode towards her and grabbed her jaw in the process hurting her as he forced her to stare into his eyes.

"Do I look like a deranged serial killer on the loose. Deep down I know you know who I am, just as I know who you are Maria." He said as she tried to look away.

"Tell me that you are sure he is innocent." He yelled at her as she shrank back in fear and bowed her head unable to defend the dead person.

"What did he do that made you kill him in this unjust way." She said slowly as Adrian looked at him

"The same way he ripped my mother away from me, but this time around I was lenient in his death. Now stay quiet or risk joining him" With that he went back to Kelvin who replied,

"We need to take her back with us, kidnap her if you will. We need to leave here already and calling the cleaning crew to get rid of the body before the night shift comes here."

"Okay in that case I give you permission to knock her out. I will go and see what Ryder and Kenny are up to." He replied as he stood up and left leaving Maria with Kelvin.

Five minutes after, Kelvin walked out carrying an unconscious Maria on his shoulder as he made his way to the car where the trio was.

"Guess we are good to go then. Let's head home."Adrian said as he dropped her into the car boot.
