Chapter 10

She wiped her face with her handkerchief, panting heavily after sprinting from the mansion to the office. It looked like a herculean task at first, but she was determined that nothing would stop her from getting to work, so she spurred her ahead.

There was something else that made her happy, and that was the fact that she was going to make Adrian suffer. He had hurt her severally in less than twenty four hours of their meeting, and she didn't have any plan of letting it slide.

The sound of a door being slammed got her attention, revealing that Adrian was already settling into the office. It wouldn't take time for him to call all the staffs so he could address them.

It wasn't long before she heard the bell go off. He sent for them faster than she expected, so she dressed the sleeves of her blouse and braced herself for the address of the monster in human form.
