Chapter 12 – Iris : The Book
Sunlight streamed into the room bouncing off my face, I could feel its warmth blessing my skin. Johnny’s arm wrapped around my waist, comforting sparks rushing throughout my body. We were so exhausted last night we didn’t even both to dress again after showering. Last night was incredible it chased away all my fear and anxiety that was hanging over me. Today was a new day and I would hopefully get some answers about my heritage. I roll over kissing Johnny on his nose. He looked so peaceful and happy. He had the most beautiful face perfect sized nose, beautiful plump lips perfect teeth, and eyes to die for, and wow his body was so god like I couldn’t believe how lucky I truly am. I’m finally with someone who respects and adores me. I stroked his cheek gently and got out of bed. My mouth was dry and my stomach was rumbling like crazy. I grabbed Johnny’s shirt from the floor and put it on just doing 1 button up to give me a little coverage it reached mid-thigh and was a welcome blanket

It takes time for her dad to answer,“Morning sweetheart” he yawns into the phone and I realise it must be early morning over there.“Hhello is this Iris’s father?”“…. Yes who is speaking please?” I can hear his panic in his voice already he knows something is wrong. Azell gives me all the strength and confidence he can muster for me.“This is Johnny a friend of your daughters….” Before I can finish he cuts me off talking animatedly to me.“Johnny… you’re the man my daughter is seeing at the moment?”“I am, I’m unsure how much you know but… I am calling because there’s been an incident and Iris is in hospital in a coma.”“What do you mean? I made sure to be up and ready bright and early. Dad and Rae were going to come with me to the airport. Will was going to stay with my mom and Iris at the pack house. Mom had made us all a huge breakfast pancakes and waffles, with fruits and syrups. It was delicious as always, but it didn’t cure the huge rotating knots that constantly rolled in my stomach. We took my 4x4 SUV so there would be plenty of space for Iris’s dad and son plus any luggage. I was still nervous, I so desperately wanted to make a good impression I made sure I wore smart but casual clothes. My dark jeans black timberland boots, dark navy shirt and my trendy jacket. I wasn’t sure if Iris’s dad would be old fashioned so I buttoned my shirt all most to the top to hide my tattoos, I know it makes me look a little like a bad boy, but that’s the look I was going for as a young twenty something. But now I needed to be smart and respectable. We say good bye to my mom and head on out.
Iris & The Book Chapter 16 – Iris : When, what, who, why, where
All I could see was an endless darkness. There was no sound there was no colour just empty lifeless darkness I couldn’t tell you how long I was there as time didn’t seem to have a measure. I couldn’t tell you why I was there, or where this even was…. In fact I can’t recall anything. How did I get here? I lift my arm to look at my hand and there nothing, it’s so dark I can’t see where I begin or end. I touch my face but there’s no feeling there. I look up down and around nothing. I step forward and I see a purple glowing spec in the distance. The more I look at it the brighter and close it becomes. What is it? I do not know. I do know I’m not afraid so I start moving towards it. Brighter and brighter, bigger and bigger it becomes. Now I’m struggling to look at it my eyes stinging as the light gradually becomes too much. Iris & The Book Chapter 17 : Iris - A song I remember
I was in my bed but I specifically remember sitting downstairs…. let’s just add it to the million other strange things that keep happening to me. I head over to the bathroom to freshen myself up, washing my face and combing my hair. I notice a mark on my neck it’s a sort of tattoo deep purple in colour and really pretty. A crescent moon and inside the crescent is a twisted and curling tree with winding and twisting branches and roots. It really is wonderful looking. I braid my hair over to the side to cover my stitched, at some point Rae is getting a hairdresser to sort it so a braid will hide the mess. I grab some leggings out of my suitcase and awkwardly put them on. I’m not kidding when I say it took me well over 15 minutes it felt like I had ran 10 miles by the time I’d done. It was immediately obvious that Iris wasn’t right. She couldn’t remember a damn thing not even her name. Her frightened eyes made us all worried, she no longer held that sparkle in her eyes instead they looked frightened and haunted. After the nurse gave her heads up and minor details we were all allowed to spend time with her. Finn sat holding her hand practically the whole time, and I have to admit me and Azell were a little jealous…well ok a lot jealous but we didn’t show it. After all we viewed Finn as much our own son now so we had to dispel those thoughts and allow Finn to be with his mother. “Hey Johnny! How’s it going? You said you had some questions?” “Hey yeah I’m good, so I just wanted you to explain the DNA test you did. I pretty much understand her bloods came back normal….” He cuts me off before I could finish speaking. “Let me stop you there Johnny, her bloods weren’t normal I mean yeah at first glance it was normal but once you actually go over it she had masses and masses of trace metals, far too much for a human, and the DNA basically came back saying she’s ancient. It can be traced back about a thousand years. The first super naturals were druids and witches then came the rest of us super naturals hundreds of years later. No one is 100% sure on what came first but the lineage of witches and druids has been well documented. It all leads back to her birth place so it makes total sense. However druids have different type/ or clans I’m not sure what they are called so it may only get more complicated from here. But at least you know what she is n

The air became static it was filled with power almost like an electrical charge rushing through the air. Time felt irrelevant the surge in my body was all that mattered. I could feel this ever growing power continuing to grow and I liked it. I hungered for it, whatever it was that was awakening inside me felt incredible and dare I say possibly addictive. The burning sensation in my eyes had returned and my vision was now purple. I could feel tremors all around me, I think the tremors were coming from the ground beneath me the more I thought about healing myself the more the power and tremors grew.
