All I could see was an endless darkness. There was no sound there was no colour just empty lifeless darkness I couldn’t tell you how long I was there as time didn’t seem to have a measure. I couldn’t tell you why I was there, or where this even was…. In fact I can’t recall anything. How did I get here? I lift my arm to look at my hand and there nothing, it’s so dark I can’t see where I begin or end. I touch my face but there’s no feeling there. I look up down and around nothing. I step forward and I see a purple glowing spec in the distance. The more I look at it the brighter and close it becomes. What is it? I do not know. I do know I’m not afraid so I start moving towards it. Brighter and brighter, bigger and bigger it becomes. Now I’m struggling to look at it my eyes stinging as the light gradually becomes too much. The light glows so bright I have to close and shield my eyes. I can feel the light behind my closed eye lids the burn becoming too excruciating I start panicking what
I was in my bed but I specifically remember sitting downstairs…. let’s just add it to the million other strange things that keep happening to me. I head over to the bathroom to freshen myself up, washing my face and combing my hair. I notice a mark on my neck it’s a sort of tattoo deep purple in colour and really pretty. A crescent moon and inside the crescent is a twisted and curling tree with winding and twisting branches and roots. It really is wonderful looking. I braid my hair over to the side to cover my stitched, at some point Rae is getting a hairdresser to sort it so a braid will hide the mess. I grab some leggings out of my suitcase and awkwardly put them on. I’m not kidding when I say it took me well over 15 minutes it felt like I had ran 10 miles by the time I’d done. When I finally managed to get them up past my bottom I gave a little whoop. Thankful I didn’t decide to wear jeans god knows how I’d have managed. Wandering out my room to go find signs of life reme
It was immediately obvious that Iris wasn’t right. She couldn’t remember a damn thing not even her name. Her frightened eyes made us all worried, she no longer held that sparkle in her eyes instead they looked frightened and haunted. After the nurse gave her heads up and minor details we were all allowed to spend time with her. Finn sat holding her hand practically the whole time, and I have to admit me and Azell were a little jealous…well ok a lot jealous but we didn’t show it. After all we viewed Finn as much our own son now so we had to dispel those thoughts and allow Finn to be with his mother. The bond those two had with each other I don’t think anyone could come between them even me with the mate bond and I wouldn’t want to. We pretty much spent the day chatting and just trying to make Iris feel more comfortable we all ate in her room together too. Me Finn and Eric cracked many jokes with each other and the atmosphere felt nice. When I woul
“Hey Johnny! How’s it going? You said you had some questions?” “Hey yeah I’m good, so I just wanted you to explain the DNA test you did. I pretty much understand her bloods came back normal….” He cuts me off before I could finish speaking. “Let me stop you there Johnny, her bloods weren’t normal I mean yeah at first glance it was normal but once you actually go over it she had masses and masses of trace metals, far too much for a human, and the DNA basically came back saying she’s ancient. It can be traced back about a thousand years. The first super naturals were druids and witches then came the rest of us super naturals hundreds of years later. No one is 100% sure on what came first but the lineage of witches and druids has been well documented. It all leads back to her birth place so it makes total sense. However druids have different type/ or clans I’m not sure what they are called so it may only get more complicated from here. But at least you know what she is n
The air became static it was filled with power almost like an electrical charge rushing through the air. Time felt irrelevant the surge in my body was all that mattered. I could feel this ever growing power continuing to grow and I liked it. I hungered for it, whatever it was that was awakening inside me felt incredible and dare I say possibly addictive. The burning sensation in my eyes had returned and my vision was now purple. I could feel tremors all around me, I think the tremors were coming from the ground beneath me the more I thought about healing myself the more the power and tremors grew. My intuition keeps telling me I can do it … heal myself … As my spin came to a stop a voice called out to me.“Iris?? Are you ok? Iris…?”Turning off my walkman I saw a man standing watching me, the feeling of power and burning in my eyes dissipated.“Johnny? Oh hey.” A thought quickly entered
JOHNNYThroughout my life I have encountered many incredible things. Being an Alpha of my pack, and pretty much most werewolves we have seen more than the average human, experienced more but never have I ever seen anything like Iris’s power. And yes I’ve dealt with witches but a witch’s power is completely different. A witch’s power requires potion making and spells spoken out loud, whereas Iris had pure power something completely unheard of. There is much I don’t know and the sooner I can speak with the elders the better. After the vines had completely covered her body I was sure that was it. But what happened was an actual miracle. When the leaves sprouted they immediately started to glow. When the glow had finally disappeared and there appeared to be no sign of life Azell was ready to rip them all apart. I knew somehow deep down she was ok and after she answered my call I knew something amazing had happened the tone in
It took all my 15 warriors and myself to finally get this vampire taken down. As soon as I saw an opening I managed to snap his neck. We had some chains that would hold him and got to work wrapping them around him. When I was finally satisfied that he couldn’t escape I went to check on Iris who was with Cobie. He had luckily managed to snatch her out the air when she was thrown from the vampire. I walked over wrapping one arm around her waist and the other checking her neck. “Johnny stop worrying I am fine” placing her hands on either side of my face we kissed and I rested my forehead to hers. “I just worry I let so many bad things happen to you already I need to know you are safe” “I know my love” “Cobie and Will are going to take you back to the pack house while I deal with this piece of shit ok.” “Ok,” “Oh I need to see the pack elder tonight too so I’ll be back late so if you’re tired just go ahead to bed.” I
After I left Johnny to deal with the vampire I was escorted back to the house by Cobie and Will. Cobie was a really chatty and handsome man full of aspirations and a youthful playfulness. He must be early to mid-20’s but since falling in to the werewolf community I have struggled to place many of the inhabitants ages. I guess being a super natural being makes you age differently. As we approached the pack house I bid farewell to Will and Cobie who both lowered their heads and called me Luna. No matter how many times I hear that I don’t think I will ever get used to it. Everyone was congregating in the kitchen area when I walked in. fussing over me making sure I was safe and ok. How many times I had to say “I am ok” they all still look as though I might break. After we sat and had a hot drink we decided to mull over the books about the amulet again. Not much progress had been made since I was in a ’coma of sorts’ so I wanted to make a start. We all sat mulling over the
The rest of the evening was spent going through all the notes I’d written down adding to what we thought the poem was about and things to research more about. We figured the moons were a symbol of just what they said the wolf moon meaning the wolf and flower moon and harvest moon we weren’t sure on the exact interpretation. Rae suggested the harvest moon was something to do with the start of harvests lent etc… around Easter... Johnny seemed to think it was something much more sinister and I was leaning more towards Johnny’s theory the more we looked at the page. Before we all called it a night Johnny took us to a spare room in his house that he had made into his own little investigation area. I have to say it was really impressive. Everything was so well organised, the boards with all the information was even more impressive. You could clearly see all the links to each specific piece of information. We added a few pieces we found tonight and photocopied all the pictur
