Chapter 18 : Johnny – Vamps are up to no good
It was immediately obvious that Iris wasn’t right. She couldn’t remember a damn thing not even her name. Her frightened eyes made us all worried, she no longer held that sparkle in her eyes instead they looked frightened and haunted. After the nurse gave her heads up and minor details we were all allowed to spend time with her. The air became static it was filled with power almost like an electrical charge rushing through the air. Time felt irrelevant the surge in my body was all that mattered. JOHNNYThroughout my life I have encountered many incredible things. Being an Alpha of my pack, and pretty much most werewolves we have seen more than the average human, experienced more but never have I ever seen anything like Iris’s power. And yes I’ve dealt with witches but a witch’s power is completely different. It took all my 15 warriors and myself to finally get this vampire taken down. As soon as I saw an opening I managed to snap his neck. We had some chains that would hold him and got to work wrapping them around him. When I was finally satisfied that he couldn’t escape I went to check on Iris who was with Cobie. After I left Johnny to deal with the vampire I was escorted back to the house by Cobie and Will. Cobie was a really chatty and handsome man full of aspirations and a youthful playfulness. He must be early to mid-20’s but since falling in to the werewolf community I have struggled to place many of the inhabitants ages. I guess being a super natural being makes you age differently. The rest of the evening was spent going through all the notes I’d written down adding to what we thought the poem was about and things to research more about. We figured the moons were a symbol of just what they said the wolf moon meaning the wolf and flower moon and harvest moon we weren’t sure on the exact interpretation. Once we had eaten I took Blake and Zane to see the vampire leaving Iris and Clara still eating and talking in the kitchen. Will had gone ahead around 10 minutes earlier making sure there were no issues everything seemed to be going according to plan.
