The door to the basement swung open, and a woman I hadn’t seen for a hell of a long time appeared. “Tilly!” I cried in excitement. There was only one other girl who had been there long enough to know who Tilly was. Tilly walked into her old cage without saying a word. I stood up, and my eyes drifted right to her belly. It was flat again, no baby. “Tilly?” I asked, quietly. She still didn’t talk. They did it, the bastards finally broke her. Tears filled my eyes as I watched her go into her cage and sit down on the floor, turning her back to us all. She lay down on the cold concrete and stayed perfectly still.
“Till?” I tried, one last time. I looked across at Tanya, the other girl who had been there since Tilly had disappeared. She looked back at me and shrugged. What the hell happened?

It was a few offices down from where I was now. “Yes, please Cassie.” She nodded and smiled as she left.I quickly finished up with what I was doing and then looked through the files of paperwork we had on clients and other businesses that we held contracts with, looking for the name Melinda.
