Xavier
The Vampire KingTwo Years AgoThis was the first time his beloved will see in him pure vampiric form.
Her eyes widened but not in fright. The pained expression on her face showed relief.
"Beloved," she whimpered. He could hear her pained whizzing breaths.
His Mish was sick once more. Her face was pasty and she was shivering in Victor's arms.
"Release her!" The fucker shuddered at the command in his voice. The traitor will be dead before the sun rises.
"Fuck you, King. You can't do anything to me while she is here." Xavier watched in horror when Victor's fangs graze his Mish's swanlike neck, his venom dripping from it. Lethal and deadly.
"Give her to me. I will let you go. Just..just release her." Oliver waited outside. This fucker won't go far.
"Desperate are we? Have you tasted a virgin's blood before? It's tastes like the most expensive wine in the world. Sweet and heady. The purest of all." He opened his mouth wider and sank his teeth on her shoulders. Mish's frail body convulsed from the force mark.
"No!" With his vampire speed, he reached them before the bastard drew blood. Victor pushed his beloved's body to him and escaped in a flash.
"Mish, baby?" The scuffles outside the door registered. His men have the fucker.
"Xavier," Her voice was so weak. It's killing him. He shrugged out of his coat to cover her shivering thinly cloth body. Goddess. She was cold. Barely breathing from her wheezes.
"You will know what to do, Vampire King," Xavier glanced at Esmeralda's glowing silhouette at the doorway. "Only your mark and blood can save her now."
His precious beloved lay weightless in his arms, the bite on her shoulders was turning blue from the venom. That was Victor's ultimate goal. To kill his soulmate. Knowing it will kill him, too.
He had no time to spare. With canines, he bit his lips until he drew blood. He leaned down to kiss her softly until drops of blood filled her mouth.
Two fingers pressed her nose, urging her to swallow. She did while she choked at the taste. His blood will help her heal.
"Mark here, Vampire King." The white witch instructed.
"You know what will happen if I mark her, I won't be able to control myself from consummating our bond." His decision was clouded at the moment. He thanked the priestess for her guidance.
"Then she will die. There is a solution. Mark her and disappear. Stay as far away as possible. Hibernate. Come back to your queen when it's time." Could he bear the pain from their forced separation? Did he have a choice?
"She will feel empty from our distance," he stated in anguished. "Wipe her memories of me. That will lessen her pain. Her heartbreak."
Yes. He could carry this burden alone. Knowing his beloved was alive. Nothing else mattered. Only her.
"Are you sure? Can you bear the burden?" The sadness in the High Priestess eyes was a small consolation.
"I'm sure. Promise me you will do it and give my beloved a protection spell while I'm gone." The universe was the limit for his queen.
"I admire your selflessness, Xavier and I will help in any way. I will give you time with your beloved." Esmeralda bowed in respect to both of them.
The vampire king watched her go with tears blurring his vision.
"Mish, my love, my beloved. You are my heart and my soul. You may have no memory of me but your heart will remember. Because your's and mine beats as one. I'll come to you. You will always be my home." With a shaky breath, he began to murmur in the most ancient vampire language.
"I, Xavier Moravia Rastislav claim you, Anna Michelle Greyson as my queen, my soulmate for all eternity. Until we both rest in eternal bliss. Hear me with your heart. Dream of me with your soul. Until we meet again, my Mish." With tears in his eyes, he sank his teeth into her neck. Sobbing as he claimed his beloved Michelle.
"Until we meet again, beloved."

St. Petersburg, RussiaHours LaterXavier didn't talk to anyone and they left him alone. Oliver had known what to accomplish in such a short period. He had his instructions.
The Vampire King's sister will support her beloved, Xavier's second in command.
He envied them. He could have been holding his queen tonight. This could have been a wonderful honeymoon had evil not intervened.
Everything was planned to a tee. He had twenty-four months to court and pursue her then claim her as soon as she turned 18. Everyone had approved, including the Lycan Queen, her eldest sister.
All his careful planning had turned to ashes. He was now a thousand miles away from his beautiful innocent queen. And he felt empty.
It was true what they say. One can barely function without his beloved. His Queen. He had claimed her and yet he cannot be with her. To protect her. From himself. Talk about irony.
Emptiness. Like falling into a dark void. An abyss. With no bottom on site. The only way to get out of it was to be with his Mish. Not even the killing of Victor in cold blood had filled a small part of that empty space.
Two years. It was nothing compared to the centuries he had waited for her. However, that was before he met her.
This time, it would feel like a lifetime even with the forced hibernation. He will feel pain. The suffering will be intense.
He had her in his arms, took care of her, had savored her sweet lips, and untutored kisses. She tasted of honeycomb and smelled of roses.
Two years. His Mish. He closed his eyes in anguish.
His Queen would want for nothing. He took care of everything for her. Her funds, her medical needs, her studies, her security, and everything he could think of.
One thing he couldn't do. He couldn't pick up the pieces of her heart. She won't remember him nonetheless at her tender age, she will experience heartbreak --she won't even know why.
It's fucking better than for her to walk this earth half dead. With him gone. It was a guarantee. A zombie at 16 years old because he left her for her own good. Wiping her memory was the best option.
He will never bring her to his bed while she was a minor. That was unacceptable. He prided himself on being a gentleman. An ingrained trait instilled from his mother and father.
Ice blue eyes blinking, he focused on his surroundings. A familiar family mausoleum. A vault made of gold, silver, and black marble. It was almost dawn.
"It's time, Мой король." Focusing on Oliver and his sister, face taut, devoid of any expression -- he nodded his consent. (My king)
"Take care, my sister. And Oliver, I give you full power to handle our realm until I return." In two years.
-Please wait for me, Anna Michelle.-
"Мой король, it would be an honor. We will wake you up two years from now. At the exact date and exact hour and not a minute further." He nodded once more. Already dreading the isolation. The void. The loneliness. (My king)
This was the only way.
Determined. He tilted his head to the side and gave his sister access to inject him with an ancient serum for hibernation. For two years. And not a day further.
Xavier would be asleep and he will be dreaming. His soul will wander. His heart will long. For his Vampire Queen.
-Dream of me, my love. Just like before.-
The effect was instantaneous. Rapidly coursing through his Vampire blood. He blinked. His sister was crying silently in Oliver's arms. He will take care of her. He trusted him.
Only two words passed his lips before he succumbed to the inevitable.
-My beloved.-
_____________Anna MichelleThe autumn breeze had started to fill her room from the open balcony. Summer has officially ended.Mish had always welcomed the fresh air. The colder the better. Standing on the rail, her balcony overlooking the dense forest behind the Lycan mansion, Mish closed her sleepy eyes and breathe in --exhaling slowly, savoring the moment.Even for a short time, giving her peace. It had been a while since she got sick. No fever. No lung infection. Nothing. Just nothing. Her heart felt...broken. Empty. She had all the memories of her childhood. From a sickly child to becoming healthy. Rags to riches. From a scrawny child to blossoming to adulthood. She remembered them all.And cherished the simple life she grew up with. Grateful for everything her sisters had done for her.Yet, often
Anna MichelleTheir day-to-day activities were on hold because of what happened to her sister Rie and their new friend Indali. Some horrible events affected them all. Her security detail was tightened even more. A powerful mix of wolves, vampires, and dragons. She should be afraid since she and Rie were humans. Far from it. They felt secured. All the time.Since she couldn't go out --she didn't mind that much, she doesn't go to clubs or parties nor does she have many friends.Maestro Roberto was instructed by Alexander, her powerful brother-in-law, to conduct her music lessons inside the estate. The teacher readily agreed and well the other professors had no choice. Apparently, Xander's business partner owned major stocks at Juilliard's and entrusted him with the business while his friend was gone.Overall it had been a t
Anna MichelleThere were two things she liked to do to cheer herself up. One, to compose songs. Second, play with the pups. Since she was not inspired enough to write a new song, she chose the latter.Everyone was busy this afternoon. Including the servants. She volunteered to babysit and went ahead to inform the nannies.Apparently, Alexander called for a meeting with very important people in the library. Even Anna Marie and Alexie were attending together with their mates. She had toyed with the idea of visiting Indali and rejected it right away. Her new friend was always perceptive and will know that something was bothering her as soon as she saw her. Maybe later. When she was more relaxed.Nodding at her security team, they followed her outside the newly installed outdoor playground.Anna and Alexie had designed the area, specifically to make sure the b
XavierThe Vampire King"You are my king, more than that, you are my brother and I love you unconditionally. I'd lay down my life for you, for our kingdom." He felt his sister exhale. Heavily. His ice-blue eyes were bleak, face made of stone-like features, jaw and knuckles clenched so tightly, one small move might cost irreparable damage to anyone near him. Except for his beloved and Sofia. "Right now, I'd quell the urge to push you out of this car if you tell me one goddamn good reason why you hurt your queen --hurting yourself. Why, brother?"Because for the second time in his life --he was afraid. Of rejection. It was damning to admit that to himself, let alone to his sister and the people around him. Most especially to his beloved. They all saw him as a hero. A savior. He was a fucking fraud of the first degree. From the loo
Anna MichelleGrowing up, Mish had always been a perfect baby sister. Obedient, kind, soft-spoken, and just an overall darling. Whatever her sisters said, she followed them. To a tee. Never want to argue or cause chaos.Due to health complications, she almost kept to herself growing up. Her best friends were Anna and Rie. She didn't want anyone else.Until she began dreaming of HIM.Nope. She promised herself. No more Prince Charming. Forgetting him would be the best option. The only setback was she had to be by herself. For a time. How?The how was not easy but she made it.When she woke up, the mansion was empty. A servant informed her that Alexander and Anna were attending a business meeting at The Mark and of course Michael and Alexandria went with them. Her sister Rie was also out with the Dragon King. That was when s
XavierBorn in the 18th century, he preferred the old ways. It was more people-centered. More focused. And more honorable. At seventeen he had started playing the field, he only went for willing widows and bored young matrons who can keep their dalliances a secret. He liked his women to be discreet and he never had a mistress or a lover outside the supernatural realms. He had always demanded subtlety.Never one to suffer fools, he chose his friends carefully. Only a handful could be trusted. Especially, at the royal court. There he was polished and trained in every aspect. If he bestirred himself, he could be gracious on occasion and he had tried to behave with a bit of savoir-faire. Up to a point. After a few centuries, he became tired of the games. There were no more wars to be won and worth fighting for. The ladies were a nuisance and he had long
Anna MichelleHer suite of rooms was nice though she had seen nicer. No. She was not picky. Her life now was a vast improvement from what she and her sisters had grown up with.Needless to say, her brother-in-law, Alexander, provided them with the best. In everything.Tonight she felt particularly giddy. It was her first time to be alone, exercising being an adult. She had always been protected. The Family was wont to smother her with protectiveness. Maybe because she grew up weak and sickly. But she was healthier now. It had been a while since she had an asthma attack. The last one was over two years ago.Having settled into her room, she decided to brave the dining area of the hotel. The food was okay. The fillet mignon was tender and the side dishes delicious. Yet, she couldn't summon a passable appetite. Her mark was throbbing once more and it made her think of HIM.-
Xavier"I could be." -I am.- He murmured back. God! She was so beautiful blinking up at him all flustered and confused."No! I mean. I'm sorry. I have to go." She was panicking. Fuck! Not a chance. He was here to stay. By her side. He had been following her all morning. Guarding. Snarling at men and women mesmerized by her beauty. And when he noticed her struggling with her numerous shopping bags, he gave up watching from the distance. He saw an opportunity and took it.It was one of the best decisions he had ever made. His beloved felt so good in his arms. More than good. He had spent the whole night holding her and watching her sleep. She wiggled, reminding him of her flight mode, she was trying to move away. "Wait. Please." Stopping, she looked at him warily.Xavier reluctantly removed his arm at the same time reached for her bags. "I can carry them."
