Chapter Six

Grandpa and Grandma took me into their office inside the magically beautiful mansion on the fourth floor and I told them everything - what happened, who it was and why I'm here. They understood perfectly and Grandpa was ready to kill something. "How dare that son of a bitch! How dare he do that to my granddaughter!" Grandpa yelled, his voice almost shaking the room.

Grandma stood up from her seat and placed a calming hand upon his shoulder and he visibly relaxed, placing his even bigger hand on her small delicate one. "Thanks, Martha. But it just makes me so angry-"

"Now now, Victor," she soothed. "What's done is done. He's gone and she's here. What we have to do now is make sure she's happy and hope that he doesn't come back for her."

I smiled warmly at Grandpa as he marched over to me and hugged me once again. "I'm so sorry you had to endure that, my darling."
