Chapter Fifty-Five
Gabriel
The world was foggy when he pried his eyes opened, a white glow seemed to blind him for a moment before his sight adjusted and his surroundings became clearer. A white ceiling above him greeted him, the glow of the light flickered for a second as he realized he was in a hospital bed. His thoughts were scattered as he slowly became more conscious of his situation and he wondered how he got there. He didn’t remember how he got here or who had helped him. He remembered how he crawled through the bloody hallway, agony encasing his entire body as he moved inch by inch but after collapsing it all goes blank from there. He had thought for sure that he was going to die and, if he were honest, he accepted that. He knew after everything that he had done he didn’t deserve to live. So, how did he get here?
