CHAPTER 4

Lucy and a few other teachers were waiting at the front door.

"Welcome."

"Is something the matter?" Maxine asked she knew Miss Lucy was not one to wait at the gate to wait for students who went on volunteer work.

"Yes there is. Josephine, Liana you're both needed in my office. As for you Audrey go with the healers."

"With all due respect ma'am I'm perfectly fine." Audrey said although she didn't want to keep Josephine and Liana's doing a secret she certainly didn't need to go the school infirmary with the healers

"I can see you've healed yourself but just to be sure. Go with them."

"Okay." Audrey said leaving with the healers. Maxine immediately rushed in and headed straight to her father's office

"Dad! What's going on?" Maxine asked

"I should be asking that question Maxine you both promised me you would behave and now you both nearly murdered someone. She might not be related by blood but she's still your sister."

"I wasn't a part of it dad I wasn't there when they hurt her, but how did you know?"

"Oh so you all wanted to bury the issue. By what means threat? Do you both know the difficult situation that this puts me in?"

"I'm sorry dad."

"I have to go." Nolan said leaving his office and heading for Lucy's

"Both of you I have simple questions and I demand simple and honest answers. Are we clear?" Asked Lucy

Both Josephine and Liana looked at each other and then back at Lucy

"I said are we clear?" Lucy asked again

"Yes vice principal ma'am." Liana said

"Yes we are." Josephine said

"Good. Here comes my question why did you use dark magic?"

"We're sorry." Liana apologized

"That doesn't answer my question now does it?" Lucy asked

"We only wanted to see how powerful it was and how well it works." Liana said

"Hm so you practiced dark magic not on an object but on another student outside school grounds cause you wanted to know how it works. That doesn't sound like an honest answer."

"We did it outside school grounds what's the big deal?" Josephine said

"First of all, it was a school activity that you were asked to go. And did you forget discretion? If the humans found out about your ability this puts everyone here in danger." Lucy said in anger

"We're sorry ma'am." Liana apologized

"And you Josephine?"

"I'm sorry." Josephine apologized

"Not with standing we're going for an assembly this evening go change your clothes and after dinner everyone would be waiting at the auditorium."

"You may leave." Lucy said

"Yes ma'am." Josephine and Liana said simultaneously leaving Lucy's office.

"Dad!!" Josephine called out surprised to see her father in front of Lucy's office

"Come with me." Nolan said leaving and Josephine followed behind him quietly.

At the school's infirmary Audrey was asked to lay down for examination. She thought it was all unnecessary. But she was obedient either way.

"Your vitals are normal, and your arms seems fine. But since you got attacked with black magic take this pills don't forget to take it before you go to bed. And I mean before our literal school curfew time." Allen said handing her the pills

"Thank you doctor Allen." Audrey said

"Of course anything for one of my regular patient."

"I guess I would want that to stop if you don't mind." Audrey said

"What?" Allen asked confused

"I wouldn't want to be a regular patient except the need arise and it's completely unavoidable." Audrey explained

"I understand dear, rest well."

"You too." Audrey said leaving she headed straight to her room only to find out the door was slightly opened. Someone was in there. She was ready to attack, if it was someone who wanted to hurt her

"Hey it's me."

"Adrian how the hell did you get into my room?"

"Don't worry about that."

"Oh I am worried I hate intruders and you're one right now." Audrey said glaring at him. Ignoring her scary eyes Adrian walked up to her and hugged her.

"What are you doing? This is violation of personal space." Audrey complained struggling

"Just stay still." Adrian said still hugging her slowly Audrey rapped her arms around him too

"How are you feeling?"

"I'm fine I healed myself how did everyone in the school know I was..."

"They don't I do. I overheard Miss Lucy talking to your dad."

"That's eavesdropping it's not nice." Audrey said

"Who cares I wanted to talk to him then I overheard it." Adrian explained

"Okay I want to take a shower can I?" Audrey asked indicating she needed to be alone

"Of course but I'm waiting right here for you."

"If you don't get out of my room I'll put you in a magic bubble." Audrey threatened

"I don't care I'm not leaving."

"Okay."

"Really? You're going to let me stay." Adrian asked with a smile

"No."

"What? Audrey please let me out." Adrian begged

"I decided a box was much better than a bubble." Audrey mocked

"But you didn't chant your spell or anything."

"I don't need to its one of the simplest tricks even those in kindergarten can do so without chanting." Audrey said heading towards the bathroom after taking a shower Audrey wore different clothes and came back

"Please let me out."

"Fine." Audrey snapped her fingers and the box disappeared

"Let's go for dinner or aren't you hungry?"

"Right I almost forgot. Oh hey there's an assembly later this evening." Adrian reminded

"Why?"

"Don't know." Adrian answered in the dining hall everyone was already seated and eating. Adrian and Audrey grabbed a plate.

"Adrian." His friends called signifying they had saved him a seat. Audrey ignored everyone and was only interested in finding herself a seat

"Audrey." Greta called Audrey was surprised someone called her but seeing it was Greta she smile and was about to go to her. But Adrian held her.

"Where are you going?"

"To seat with my friend." Audrey said nonchalantly

"Greta is your friend?"

"Yes my new friend other than you so please excuse me. Go join your friends I want to have a peaceful dinner." Audrey said leaving him.

"Hey what did Doctor Allen say?" Greta asked

"That I'm fine." Audrey said

"Greta why are you talking to her?"

"Because she's my friend Kaylee do you have a problem with that?" Greta asked

"You're making yourself an enemy of the entire school." Kaylee said

"I'd rather be an enemy than a low fool who allows others opinion push her." Greta said making Kaylee leave

"Thanks."

"No problem I'll fight the world for you." Greta said making Audrey laugh

"I'll do the same."

"Let's eat." Greta said
