CHAPTER 6

Audrey glared slightly at Josephine she was always stubborn and never listens to her. Audrey understood this of course they never really trusted each other.

"I don't care if you want to head back or not just stay clear of my path." Audrey said she didn't want to argue with anyone.

"Audrey? Is there something you're keeping from us?" Josephine asked

"Like what?" Audrey asked slightly irritated

"How should I know."

"I'm tracking something so I don't have time to bicker with you Josephine."

"What are you tracking…?" Maxine asked

*growling*

"Oh my God what the hell is that?" Josephine asked panicked

Audrey, Maxine and Josephine were speechless as to what was before them.

"Run! Run!!" Audrey said and they all took to their heels running as fast as they could but the monster was closely behind them.

Audrey decided to attack the monster in front of her. It was a troll with a large body. Casting a spell Audrey attacked it but the troll only got more excited. Making her gulp hard.

Josephine also stopped on her tracks and also attacked with her magic power making the troll angry this time.

"Let's head back to the school." Maxine suggested and they began running again. This time it caught Josephine.

"Ah." She screamed in panic. Audrey attacked the monster with another magic attack and it let go of Josephine diverting it's focus to Audrey.

"Maxine get Jo back to school call dad and the teachers for help I'll hold it off." Audrey said wanting to do her best. Maxine did as she was told helping Josephine up. And running towards the school.

Audrey used her powers to create a sword it glistered with light she fought and stabbed the troll but it was all futile there was barely a mark on it's body.

"You disgusting creature what are you?" Audrey yelled the troll attacked her by lifting her off the floor and throwing her. Causing Audrey to hit her head on a stone.

"Oh shit." Audrey said holding her head which was bleeding slightly

"You little..." Audrey angrily got up ready to attack but this time everything was slightly blurry. She started her attack again but it was all futile.

"Max, Jo where the hell are you two?" Audrey said as she slowly lost consciousness

Josephine and Maxine ran to the school. Maxine was about to rush to her father's room when when Josephine grabbed her hand.

"What are you doing?" Maxine asked

"Where are you going?" Josephine asked

"To get dad for help what else."

"Are you insane?" Josephine asked

"What do you mean by that?"

"Think about it if that thing can really get rid of Audrey we would have dad and everything she took from us all to ourselves." Josephine said

"Jo, this isn't time to be selfish she saved us and asked us to get help." Maxine reasoned

"Don't go to dad! Remember everything she did to us. Dad always took her side we were always punished for offending her. And worse we were considered bullies."

"So we should just leave her?" Maxine asked

"Yes. Let's go to our room." Josephine said and Maxine decided to follow her they entered their room and after half an hour they got a knock on the the door.

"Josephine, Maxine!"

"Yes dad." They both answered

"Oh you're not asleep. Do you have any idea where Audrey is?" Nolan asked

"No, no we don't." Josephine said

"Really? She did say she was going to train today and now she's late. I'll check her room again." Nolan said

"Um dad..." Maxine called out

'Maxine don't you dare can't you see his only came here to ask after her, he didn't even ask how we were doing. All he cares about is his sparing princess and not his daughters. Don't tell him anything. ' Josephine said through telepath

'Okay.'

"Yes dear?"

"Nothing... Good night."

"Good night dear. Good night Jo."

"Night dad." Josephine said with a smile

Nolan left their room and knocked on Audrey's door.

"Audrey! Audrey are you in?" Nolan called out knocking. He slowly opened the door since it wasn't locked and he found her bed empty. Even the bathroom was empty too.

"Where is she?" He muttered

"Audrey are you in we need to talk." Adrian said barging in without knocking

"She's not here." Nolan said slightly displeased he couldn't just barge into his daughter's room like that.

"Oh Mr principal I didn't see you there." Adrian said Nolan decided to keep his sentiment aside his daughter was missing and Adrian was one of her good friends.

"It's nothing, do you know where Audrey might be?" Nolan asked

"No I thought..."

"Well she didn't show up for training. I'm worried do you know where she might be?" Nolan asked

"Maybe with her new friend maybe she's with Greta." Adrian said

*knock* knock*

"Who is it?" Greta's room mate said displeased with the noise.

"I'll get it." Greta said getting up

"Mr Nolan, Adrian? What are you both doing here?" Greta asked surprised at her late night room guests

"Is Audrey by any chance in?" Nolan asked

"No of course not we parted ways hours ago." Greta said

"Why is something wrong?" Greta asked

"I'm not sure-" Nolan was slightly confused. Adrian didn't want to waste too much time so he said

"Good night." Pulling Nolan away

"Anymore ideas?"

"I'm not sure she'd be in the woods she doesn't go alone ever since we became friends but let's try it." Adrian said and took Nolan to their favourite spot. But there was no sign of Audrey.

"Where could she be?" Adrian asked with a worried look

"Let's go back." Nolan said this time he was more calm than Adrian. Adrian although hesitant decided to go back.

They went their separate ways. Hoping to check on Audrey the next morning.

The next morning Maxine and Josephine checked on Audrey's room and as expected her bed wasn't slept on.

"Do you think she's dead?" Maxine asked

"I don't know but if she is, good riddance. Let's go before anyone find us here." Josephine said about to leave but they found Adrian by the door.

Josephine panicked thinking he had overhead their conversation.

"What are you two doing here?" Adrian asked Maxine was about to speak when Josephine said

"Dad came to our room yesterday looking for Audrey we were just checking if she's okay." Josephine said immediately

"Let's go Max we're almost late for classes." Josephine said dragging her out of the room. Nolan met the two girl but he only smiled and greeted them a good morning.

"Mr Walter we did the search as instructed we found blood in the woods and it's Audrey's." A student who was an apprentice of the infirmary reported.
