CHAPTER 7

Adrian was still standing in her room he was about to ask his best friend Kyle to try tracing her with any of her items but then Nolan showed up.

"She's not here?" Nolan asked

"No, her bed hasn't been slept on. What do we do now Sir?" Adrian asked.

Nolan was unsure of what to say.

*hurried footsteps*

"Mr Walter we did the search as instructed we found blood in the woods and it's Audrey's." A student who was an apprentice of the infirmary reported.

"Her… her body?" Nolan stammered

"We found nothing but we found a piece of clothing and it's hers. Also doctor Allen said there was a strange smell and it couldn't possibly be Audrey's." Carl reported

"A smell?" Nolan asked confused

Adrian's eyes widened in shock was she killed by something? He didn't want to believe his ears. Nolan headed out of Audrey's room he needed to talk to Allen to learn more.

"Allen we need to talk. I don't understand what you said you saw and that smell what was that about?" Nolan asked immediately as he entered Allen's lab.

"The smell it's different from Audrey's in fact I'm pretty sure a girl can't smell that way. The wolves did their best, searching but nothing. Oh also we found this piece of cloth but I'm not sure it's Audrey's."

"This looks like the clothes Josephine was wearing yesterday." Nolan said slightly confused as to why Josephine's dress where at the crime scene. But then a girl rushed in.

"Sir Liana is missing."

"Missing? What do you mean missing?" Nolan asked he was still trying to solve a puzzle and now another report.

"She didn't come back to her room last night I thought she was just staying out late but her bed hasn't been slept on." Zoey said

"Allen I think we got a problem. Call me Josephine and Maxine now." Nolan instructed Zoey

"Yes sir." Zoey said soon the two girls walked into the infirmary.

"Dad you called for us?"

"Yes I did, does this cloth belong to you?" Nolan asked and Josephine collected it and found out it was indeed hers, her cloth had torn off when the monster attacked her.

"Yes it is." She answered cautiously

"What was it doing in the same place Audrey's blood was found."

"Her blood?" Maxine asked her eyes widely opened

"Yes. Do you both know anything about her whereabouts and also Liana's?" Nolan asked

"Liana? Why what happened to her?" Josephine asked

"According to her room mate Zoey she's missing." Nolan said

"Do you think that thing took her?" Maxine asks out loud

"What thing?" Nolan asked confused

"We don't know, Maxine was just talking." Josephine chipped in.

"No I'm not, Jo I'm sorry a lot of peoples lives are now at risk. If that thing really killed Audrey, we're not safe." Maxine said turning to Nolan.

"Dad, I'm sorry last night when we were in the woods Audrey... I don't know for how long she felt that there was some weird presence. But then we saw this monster it caught Josephine but Audrey saved her and asked us to run and get help, from you. I'm sorry I listened to Josephine I should have told you." Maxine said remorsefully

"And now she's dead and now you're telling me?" Nolan said slightly shaken he couldn't believe his daughters were capable of plotting someone's demise.

"Josephine how could you? She save your life and you repaid her by stabbing her? Putting her in the war front to die without back up." Nolan said infuriated

"I..." Josephine stammered

"Where was she last seen?" Adrian asked he had over heard everything and if he could murder Josephine on the spot he would.

"I'll take you there." Maxine said leading the way they got there and found nothing. Adrian kept looking and he found a body he immediately ran to it but it was Liana's. Somehow he felt disappointed. Liana's head was bleeding.

"I found Liana." He yelled and Nolan and Maxine rushed over

"Liana, Liana." Maxine called out

"Take her back your dad and I will keep looking." Adrian said coldly

"Take her to Allen I know she's your friend so you won't leave her on to the streets to die." Nolan said

"I'm sorry dad."

"Go." Nolan ordered and Maxine helped the unconscious Liana up

"Sir do you think we can find Audrey?"

"You found Liana let's keep looking." Nolan comforted

The night before Audrey passed out, she didn't really know what happened next but she found herself in a cave. At least that was the best description she could come up with because it didn't look like a house.

She was laid in the middle of the cage, but it had a soft cozy mattress. And was really comfortable.

"Books?" Audrey asked no one in particular getting up from the bed. And examining herself.

Then she saw herself in new clothes she doesn't have something of that sort besides it was a pure white dress that made her look like a priestess.

"Where the hell am I?" Audrey muttered she wanted to look around but as soon as her feet touched the ground she found herself back in the forest where she last lost consciousness.

*gasps*

"Audrey?"

"Adrian." Audrey called out turning to face him. She was slightly scared remembering what occurred the night before.

Adrian hugged her tight he wasn't sure it was her because she was dressed like a priestess but her brownish red hair was always recognizable, to him it was one of a kind.

"Audrey." Nolan called out

"Dad." She called out softly

"Sweetie are you okay?" Nolan asked

"Yes, I... What happened?" Audrey asked

"You don't remember?" Nolan asked

"I.."

*black out*

"Audrey." Adrian called out worried. She passed out in his arms

"Wake up Audrey?" Adrian said worried

"I'll take her back to school." Adrian said carrying her.

At the school infirmary Liana was still unconscious

"Dr Allen how is she?" Maxine asked worried

"She's not going to make it." Allen answered

"What?" Garvin Liana's boyfriend yelled

"Doctor Allen please help her." Josephine said

She felt guilty it was her fault Liana went to the woods, and because of her jealousy she didn't even check up on Liana before going to bed and now she's going to die because of it.

Her good friend doesn't deserve that now does she?

"I'm not sure what to do, but you all better prepare for the worst." Allen said leaving

And Adrian rushed into the infirmary with Audrey in his arms

"Where's doctor Allen?" He asked

"His not here." Maxine answered

"Bring her in." Carl said accompanied by another teacher

Soon Allen rushed into the infirmary ward

"How is she?"

"I don't know doctor Allen but she's unconscious." Carl said

Everyone waited outside anxiously.
