Chapter 2 The Warning"

                                                                         Willow P.O.V.

"Hello Miss Williow and Miss Maryann." She tells us with a warm, friendly smile.

"How are you feeling, Williow?" She said, walking over; she had a light in her hand and started checking my head and telling me to watch the light. So, I followed it from side to side and up and down.

She stepped back, and I saw her write something down on her notepad.

"Good." I heard her say.

"Well, the good news is you don't have to have stitches."

"Okay, that's good to know, right Willow" I heard Maryann say.

"Yes, but she still needs to be careful." She tells her and looks at me with a worried look.

She would know she is the one who patches me up when I come to the office with scratches and bruises all over me.

I nodded my head.

I gave her a shy smile.

"Thank you, Mrs. Lovely, for helping me, so thank you," I told her, with my legs hanging over the bed.

"You're welcome, Williow, but I will write you a slip to leave and go home and rest." She told me. I should go home, but I had no problem attending class. So, I told her I was okay and could go to class.

"No! I umm, I am fine. I can stay." I am okay now." I told her I was sore and had this sharp pain in my back, but I didn't want to go home just yet. I knew if I did that, it would get worse, and then he would find me, and I would get it worse if I disobeyed him. So, it's best to take whatever he will do to me here in school than him following and coming to my house. So, I don't want to conflict with pain anymore for today.

Besides, he would know I would go home, and we had all subjects, so if he didn't see me in class because he would place two and two together, I was not there. So I would love to take up her offer and go home and rest and not think about the day I had, but I know better.

"Are you sure, Williow?" She asked me.

I sighed and faked a smile.

"Yes, I am fine, Mrs. Lovely," I told her.

At first, it was like she didn't believe me, but then I heard her say.

"Okay then, girls. here are two slips for your class, so give them to your teacher." Also, here are another note explaining why you were late; bye, and have a wonderful day, ladies."

We both nodded, grabbed the notes, thanked her, and opened the door when she said this.

"Willow,"

"Yes, Mrs. Lovely, I said.

" Look, I understand. I was a girl once, too, and I had a boy who used to tease and bully me too." But it's not like when a boy teases a girl, they are not always good. Do, you understand." She tells me.

I was shocked what she told me.

How does she know?

I thought I hide it well, but she knew, and she understood what I was going through.

But I should tell someone, maybe I could start with her and Maryann.

But I am still scared and afraid to tell anyone what Bryce does to me and then he would start hurting others because of me.

I don't know what I would do if someone got hurt because of me. I could not live with myself if anyone got hurt or worse.

So, I put on a fake smile, and I spoke.

"Thanks", I told her, and Maryann and I walked out the door to our next-period class.

?Are you sure you're, okay?" I stopped and looked at my cousin.

Yes, I am fine." I tell her with a chuckle.

"If you do not, I understand. You tell me-

I stopped her there.

"Yes, Maryann, I am fine," I told her again, trying to move on with all the questions, and I just wanted to forget.

"Okay, then." She said in a worried voice.

"I'll see you at lunch?" I told her, trying her to stop talking, and  I didn't want her to try to get me to talk about it.

She shook her head and smiled.

"See you at lunch?" I heard Maryann say.

We both started walking until the hallway split. I went left, and she went right.

"See you later, alligator, and I heard her say.

"See, yeah, crocodile," I told her. I heard her laugh.

Walking down the hall, I didn't hear or see Maryann anymore.

I sighed because I only had her during my lunch period and last class.

Once I got to the door, I knocked on the door. I looked up, and I saw the words on the door.

Yes, come in." But then, I heard a female speak out.

(Welcome to Mrs. Anderson's English Class)

That's what it said.

I sighed when I started turning the door handle.

I walked in and saw my class, and they had their face facing toward the door I walked in.

I felt my cheeks reddened with embarrassment because I was out in the opening staring at me alone by the door.

Nice to see you made it here, Miss. Hawkson's." Can you take your seat? You have already erupted my class for being late."

"Do you have a note for me," She asked me.

I wasn't paying attention until I heard chuckles around the classroom.

I heard her sigh anonymously and roll her eyes when she put her hand on her hips. I walked closer to her desk and handed over the notes.

I was shocked at what she did next.

She ripped the notes out of my hand rudely.

Wow, I didn't want to cause any more detraction for her class, so I stood there and watched her read the notes quietly. I didn't want to cause any more problems for myself because this teacher hated me right now.

After she stopped reading them, she turned back to me.

Well, it's okay this time, but next time don't be late for my class again."

Yes, Ma'am, I won't." I told her and walked toward the back of the classroom to an empty seat. I don't know why I went in the back, but that would be a mistake I would live with for the rest of my life.

What I didn't know was when I sat down in the back of the room, I didn't see Bryce and his followers sitting behind me when I sat down. That's when I gasped when I heard a voice behind me.

"You lost, pet." I heard a male voice. I felt my body shut down, and I could feel the fear running down my stiff and still body.
