Chapter 8

Caleb-

The door hit the wall and I snapped around already in a position to fight. In the doorway stood Lily, she had a small smirk on her face and was holding two cups of coffee. I was so distracted at this moment with Sam that I let my guard down and didn’t even hear Lily come home.

“Good morning you two, am I interrupting something?” I could hear the smirk in her voice.

“Good morning, when did you get home?” Sam giggled and covered her head in a pillow.

“I haven’t been home long. Liam had some business to attend to, so I left him to it, I didn’t know you were here Caleb?” She smiled at me; I knew she could tell I was still riled up. She looked at me head to toe, and I didn’t realize I was already sweating. How does this woman do this to me?

“You said Liam had work to do?” I tried the pack bond, but Liam’s side was quiet.

Lily’s face changed to concern. “Yeah, something about a pack meeting.”

Fuck! That’s today ugh. I looked over at Sam, her face still partly covered by the pillow.
