Waking up I could hear Caleb’s heartbeat under my ear, his breath shallow. I took in my view, he had sheets covering his hips down but my imagination painted the rest of the picture not in front of my eyes.

I slowly looked around it was light out now, fuck we were going to be late for work I tried to pry myself from his body but found an arm that pulled me back into him. I laid my head back on his chest.

“I already excused us from work. I told them we were working on a case out of town.” His voice was gruff from sleep.
