Layla's POV

"Yes, Master." The girls bowed and disappeared.

Vincent closed the door and approached me.

He was all suited up. It seemed that he was on his way to join some sort of diplomatic event. Draped in a fine uniform of the deepest navy, the tailored fabric embraced his form with almost poetic grace, accentuating his broad shoulders and narrow waist. The jacket's lapels gleamed with gold embroidery, catching the ambient light and casting a regal aura around him.

"I need to see my father today," I said in a decisive voice.

"He doesn't even take you as his daughter. He has been ignoring you all these years. You're nothing but a shame and disgrace to him. Why do you want to see him?" Vincent said in a nonchalant voice.

As he was talking, he walked to the corner of the room and took out some bandages, folding them adeptly with his long, slender fingers.
