Chapter 14

Layla's POV

After Vincent left, I was left all alone in the room.

My rather eccentric reunion with the boy in the forest didn't turn out the same way as I had expected in my mind.

But I didn't have a lot of time to be sentimental and feel sorry for myself.

I quickly calmed down and collected myself. I needed to come up with a plan to get out of this frightening place.

I looked around, trying to look for something to cut the straps, so maybe I could figure out a way to sneak out of this dungeon and look for my father.

I saw a knife lying on the table beside the bed.

It was the knife that Vincent used to torture me.

If I could free one arm from the straps, I could stretch it out and attain that knife to cut off the straps!

So, I tried to move my arm.

Since the straps were soaked in gel, they became a bit slippery and elastic.

I used all my effort to pull my arm, and it slipped a bit under the straps.
