Helen’s POV

"By the way, Anita called. She said something about wanting to talk things out," Roman uttered, as I along with Lilian and some maids set the table.

"Baby, come and sit down, they can take care of the rest," Fernando muttered for the umpteenth time, and I darted him a glare before veering my attention to Roman.

"Oh, really? That's great news, Roman! So what are you going to do now?" I asked, truthfully happy for him.

Although he always tried to hide his heartbreak, it was extremely obvious, into a stranger, that he was merely faking it.

The Roman and I knew from five years ago didn't dissociate at every opportunity he got.

He was bubbly, funny, and chatty.

Now, he mostly sat in one spot whenever he came over to our house and stared into space as if searching for something that was only visible to him.
