CHAPTER TWENTY

Pietro removed his seatbelt and stood from his seat. The moment he laid his eyes on Deana his heart started to beat tensely.

“I will be glad to serve you, sir,” he stated before walking to Deana’s place. Kinuha niya ang tray na hawak nito. He threw gazes at her meaningfully. “Act like you don’t know us,” bulong pa niya sa naguguluhang si Deana.

Bumalik si Pietro sa mesa ng governor at ng lalaking kausap nito. Nilapag niya ang bote ng alak at dalawang baso saka muling binigay kay Deana ang tray.

“You can go back.”

“O-Okay,” Deana stuttered.

But Addi lifted his hand sending a message to his men behind. They stopped Deana from leaving.

“I make orders here,” Addi said while staring at Pietro.

Pietro competed with his gazes until he noticed him grin. The man pointed at him before looking at the governor.

“I love this man of yours, governor. Very brave.”

Naiilang na tumawa lamang ang gobernador. Kahit siya’y hindi mawari ang gagawin sa mga oras na iyon lalo na’t nasa harap nila si Deana.
