“Shit," I muttered under my breath, avoiding eye contact with Leslie.

I couldn't believe the kind of shitty luck I had. The very person whom I was trying to avoid, stood before me. There was no way for me to escape so I garnered what was left of my courage to face her.

“Hey, Leslie. It's surprising to see you here this early," I said, laughing awkwardly.

Leslie gave me a stern look. “Indeed,” She smirked.

“Botox bitch," I muttered under my breath.

“So, do you need my help with anything?" I asked her.

Even though I was late, it was surprising to see her on this floor so early in the morning. There must have been a reason why she had decided to grace us with her unwilling presence.

“Well, I needed to check on a particular person to see how far they had gone with the upcoming project. But, imagine my surprise when I found the office empty with neither the assistant nor Editor in sight,“ she said
